City launch legal action against the Premier League | Club & PL reach settlement | Proceedings dropped (p1147)

Reading through this stuff is great. The varied opinions make it all worth while.

The pile on again today against another poster is where it lets itself down unfortunately.

Dribble or Slbsn shouldn’t have to constantly defend their position. Far too many posters policing the thread and far too many easily offended if a point is challenged by supposedly inferior minds.

We all know despite the constant back and forth legal fighting that city will be cleared of any wrongdoing and that is all that matters. The legal/financial aspects in both cases is the only reason this shit show has been going on for so long.

Ok try this for size. How cogent in a criminal case would evidence from a civil action for breach of contract be? Think, man, think.
That’s your last answer from me. Fuck me you can’t even use search to find my previous answers. You are fake. You have no real concern just the need to be rude and obnoxious. You never answered my “ whoosh” or even looked up the Serious Fraud Office proposed change of policy and powers to go with it which I pointed you towards.
You do nothing of substance, just throw your petty ego around.

You're mistake is engaging. I made the same mistake last year about whether the allegations amount to fraud or not, it was never ending until @petrusha described his posts as "another ill-considered screed of sesquipedalian bullshit", and I just made the same mistake again. It's one I won't be repeating.

Seems a little strange that there doesn’t seem to be a any written version of this statement.

One might start questioning the veracity of it.
Could have been a club comment when approached by Sky, rather than a club statement.

Agree, strange that even Sky themselves didn't put it in writing or an article etc.

Stop introducing strawman arguments & focus on the specific point I made.

You could've quite easily answered it (if you knew the answer), without the rest of the guff you're spouting.

As for your civil action diversion, is it the whole evidence or dies it form part of a larger evidence bundle? This is EXACTLY my point if all the nonsense swirling around the case, which makes terrified fans zone out.

Behave yourself mate, & stop with your deflective nonsense.

Stefan is like Var!

Blues will be celebrating wildly but the legal check will take 2 months before a narrow win is established and not because we have done nothing wrong but because the wrong paper was used in proceedings -:)
Stefan being a City fan is irrelevant to his interpreting of the information that is accessible to the public.

Just like Pannick isn’t trying to make us fail because he’s an Arsenal fan.

These people look at the information and apply their legal knowledge and make their conclusions without emotion or allegiance.

This means that when sensationalist statements are made about these judgments, they don’t get giddy and potentially overestimate what the ruling might mean. They err on the side of caution.

Some people on here seem to struggle with their ability to effectively turn off their support to do their job properly.

There's an ointment for that.

Not really, but it will count heavily against Masters when called upon to resign.
So the PL can quite openly, legitimately and lawfully subject one club's finances to incredibly detailed levels of scrutiny far in excess of what they routinely do for other clubs and use "evidence" against that club obtained illegally... all without them being seen to be acting in a prejudicial and discriminatory manner?

I don’t know.

Just so you know, I hold Stefan in very high regard, because it is abundantly clear to me that he knows what he is talking about. I know this because, with apologies if this sounds immodest, I do too. So I think some of your posts to/about him In the last 24 hours have been pretty shitty and my own view is that you should really be apologising for challenging his integrity.

Ive no wish to be rude to you because you haven’t been rude to me and if/when that apology is provided maybe we can look at this further, because that’s the whole point of this thread. I’ve answered the question that you asked and asked again and again because I was bored of reading it. But at present I’m not hugely interested in discussing it further.
Just so we're clear, I've never questioned Stefan's abilities, only his approach which doesn't quite sit right with me.

That fundamental question is what I'd be asking the Jim White's & Simon Jordon's of this world, so we cut to the chase & get to the heart of the matter.

Imagine the confusion & concern caused when City's legal counsel issue an official statement & trusted others call those statements into question?

It not only emboldens our enemies, it terrifies our fans.

Indeed.

Compare this evenhanded, unbiased, knowledgeable and factual presentation of the minutiae about City…
…and the absolute tsunami of blinkered, knee-jerk, cartel arse licking, cherry-picking, misrepresentations given out by almost all the media and their flock of sheep followers.

I’d want a balanced, nuanced, accurate, insightful examination of the facts, any day of the week and twice on match days.

Yep. Leave the celebratory gifs and memes to idiots like me!
