I don't mind the line-up, but I sort of wish that one of Gundo/Berni was dropped for Doku on the left. In a game, we need to be on the front foot; a livewire like him would have been helpful.

The lineup isn’t bad, I actually like it, but what’s frustrating is that we’ve got another injury - this time it’s Haaland ffs. It’s unbelievable how our players are constantly getting injured. Still, the lineup itself looks decent. I also thought either Gundohan or KDB has to play, but just only one of them, because they’re the ones who can make those creative passes. That’s crucial for setting up the attackers, like Marmoush, and hopefully, he can finish the chances they create.

No haaland is a monumental blow, one that probably ends our chances of progressing barring a miraculous game. With the exception of Haaland, Kovacic for gundo would have been my only preference. If we play the game correctly, which means sitting a little deeper and going forward more directly as we did against newcastle it's a side that can win in the bernabeu, we've just got to put in a performance that we haven't seen for about 12 months. Bench could be important, theyev got limited options on theirs, we need to utilise our superiority in that regard with fresh legs at the right time, 20 minutes from kdb and/or doku could have a real impact. Do or die time.
