We do need to spend big if we want to compete. We will need to land the likes of Wirtz to compete with this level of competition. Debruyne, Bernie, Gundog, Walker were all that level but now past it. Gundogan and Bernardo are nowhere neared the required level any longer.

Far too many on here are completely blinkered where Bernie is concerned. He’s been brilliant for us overall but for the last 18 months, he has been complete and utter dogshit.
