Had zero expectations for this game, had no hope. Pretty much accepted all week it’d take something special to even have a chance of going through.

I’ve thought long and hard about this and I’m confident he’s still the man to rebuild this team. Each season he’s changed or tweaked something to allow us to be different. First it was wide flying wingers, then inverted full backs, the next season we played with a false 9, then it was Haaland upfront and us playing off him. I trust him to solve this next puzzle. He’s got more than enough credit in the bank for me at the moment despite this season being a nightmare.

Same here. There's a point in the last 4 to 5 seasons where you can find people claiming he needs to go on here, and then in the last 4 we've come back and won the league. That's realistically not happening this year but like you said, he has more than enough credit in the bank.

If we finish in a Europa League spot at worst, I'm fine with it for the year. We're the only club in England not to miss the UCL since 2011/12. We've won 6 of the last 7 PLs. He easily deserves to carry on. Especially after the injury crisis this year and going through his divorce.

Fair comment, i hope your right. These decisions though. Persisting with gundogan. A high line with slow defenders, its infuriating.

I can only think that he sees Gundo as the person most capable of keeping possession. If we drop deep we would just be inviting pressure and I could see us getting even more humiliated. There isn’t really an answer at the minute against a team of this pace, quality, energy and confidence. They are just man for man better than us all over the pitch this season.
