Real Madrid (A) | CL | Post Match Thread

I'm glad we found out we don't have a top midfield tonight and nights vs PSG aren't a fluke.

We've been allowed to become too old and too slow and we need real legs in there.

Might be a sad night but if we come to terms with it.. we should emerge stronger.

And Khusanov's mentality is formidable! Showed real spirit all night despite us being behind in the 4th minute!

Embarrassing performance all round really. We knew it was a tough ask but we bent over for them tonight. It's sport and I can take losing to any good side but not at the expense of a pathetic performance. That goes for Pep too.

For what it's worth, I think we'll scrape top 4. I'm optimistic we'll be much better next season with a few more players coming in and hopefully some crocks and oldies leaving.

It's been a hell of a few years and we are team in transition. Now it's on the club to get that right.

You know what? 3-1 wasn’t that bad a result. Should’ve been 3-2 if VAR would’ve done its job and checked for a penalty at the end too.

A few positives - mainly Khusanov and a first goal for Nico.

They’re better than us. Which is fine. But we kept playing and put them on the back foot for the last 25 minutes I thought. Played with a lot of personality. IMO anyway.

Onto the FA Cup and the top 4 charge.
