I want to see the old ruthless Pep back again. Like when he fucked Joe Hart off without a second thought because he knew he wasn't right for the type of football he wanted us to play. Playing old, worn out players over and over needs to be ditched.
 
In adversity you sometimes see good things, Kushanov is a good signing as is Speedy and the Prince although it cant be easy walking into this shit show.

Our season starts now, some free weeks to get players coached and fit, must get top 5 and then build for next season.

Maybe sell Foden if hes not arsed anymore and use the money on someone who is.

We are past our peak with the current set. It was to expected with the drop off but the concern is it is worse than planned.
 
They were so much better than us, in the long run it may have done us a favour, really hope John Stones is ok he's not having a lot of luck with injuries.
As on many occasions I question our defensive coaches, we seem to lack the desire to defend.
 
Very poor defending for the first goal set us up for what followed , the heads went down straight away and Stones going off compounded it

We were just going through the motions then until Madrid lost interest in the last 15 minutes

A few things to note

Marmoush isn’t a lone striker , he needs to play off a target man , especially against decent opossition

Bernardo offered nothing , not too sure what his role was to be honest, Gundogan was slight better but only on the ball , off the ball he was chasing shadows again

Nico had a sobering night after Saturday , didn’t really stamp his authority on the game

This team lack belief away from home when up against it , we need another top quality in centre midfield. If only there was a 25 year only Yaya Toure out there, he would be perfect alongside Nico and Rodri when he’s back

i dont agree with your statement. they came mid table and are beatable by the best teams in the premier league which we are very far away from

we havent beaten anyone decent for nearly a year - maybe Villa last April. our last win against a really top european level side was probably the inter final
 
Wasn't optimistic, but that doesn't make the result any less frustrating. Hate playing those cunts and hate losing to them. Team of fucking prima donna wankers, all up their own arses, shithouse defenders, play-acting forwards, twat-faced midfielders. Nothing but cunts. Think Pep got it completely wrong with the starting lineup, but I don't think even our best 11 would have turned over a deficit at the Bernabeu with the ref obviously in their pocket, as per usual.

At least it hammers home the harsh reality that several members of this squad are clearly past it now, and that major surgery is needed in the summer. Time to say goodbye to a few proper legends and get some fresh blood in the middle of the park. And special mention for Phil who I love like a son but he really needs to get his act together... Don't know what's gone on with him, maybe something personal (if so, I wish him only the best), but he's an absolute shadow of last season.
 
Got what we deserved in the end. For the PL POTY Phil had a bad night.
It’s gone forget it.
We’re the best team left in the FA Cup and have good chance of winning it…and we’ll finish third.
