It’s not just a question of tactics, which were piss poor tonight.

The team seems to pick and choose when they turn up now. Against a decent team we fall to pieces when we go a goal down and there’s very, very little intensity or determination from the players.

Poor team selection, puzzling tactics and a lack of effort from the players. In fact the whole team ethos and culture seems to have evaporated; lots of players just ambling off the pitch at the end tonight, barely acknowledging the fans.

Not sure who else you can blame but the manager.

We go direct against Chelsea and win and he immediately goes back to the slow passing rubbish against Arsenal and we get thrashed, we go direct against Newcastle and we win and he immediately goes back to the slow rubbish against Madrid and we get thrashed, yes I know Arsenal and Madrid are much better team, but ffs mate just stick to a style that at least suits the players you have more and stop this bullshit style that doesn't work against bottom table teams let alone the top teams.
 
Sporting 4-1, Spurs 4-0 loss at home, Feyenoord 3-3 at home from 3-0, Arsenal 5-1 loss, PSG 4-2 loss, Real 3-1 away and 2-3 loss at home, add in the loss vs rags at home.

so many sick losses very hard to swallow.

Liverpool up next then bogey Spurs away. just fasten the seat-belts guys February can still get much worse.
 
Truly awful management. Marmoush Savinho out of position and out of the match. We played with 9. How come Dias and Ake have gone from world class centre halves to dogshit amateurs who don’t know how to play their position anymore, overnight? Mbappe will never score an easier hat trick. Shocking.

I get it. Must be hard for the players to adapt that much in the span of a week, or less in most cases.

He knows his midfield is weak and slow, yet he tells them and the forwards to recycle possession instead of using their proven abilities to try and score. He knows his defenders are in and out with injuries, yet he rushes them back the moment they're available to train. He has to see that his initial game plans fall apart, yet no subs or any tweaks.

I can handle losing, but it's the lack of progress or any semblance of change that's concerning.

This is the most annoying thing, we can and do adapt and it seems to work then constantly revert back to the slow, ponderous bullshit football that has made us look atrocious all season because Pep prefers playing that way. It's pathetic and it just boils down to him seeing football having to be played a certain way for me, he says as much often enough and then people act suprised when we play that way again and get twatted. We actually do have a good squad of players but maybe not for Peps preferred style of football anymore, most Managers have to use what they have available, we just seem to moan we don't have enough of a certain sort of player.

Pep hates Madrid more than any City fan ever will, losing to them in that manner is his ultimate low point, so if that humiliation doesn't force him to recognise his tactical plans are dogshit and change it to suit the players we have, I don't think anything can.
 
KDB, Haaland, Doku and Grealish on the bench and they don't play for a second, they are not fully fit ? what the fuck are they doing on the bench then ? are they there to scare Madrid or something ? they can't play fucking have some kids there and use them instead, fucking sick of his ridiculous use of the bench, one of the worst I've seen.
 
Who are the people around him that help with tactics and such, because I know it's not just him, he has a team.

How did they agree with him on this? Or maybe they convinced him of this plan? Hard to say.

Where is the ongoing reflection over the season on the insane decisions?

Baffling.
 
Said it last week but just like players can go off form I think it's fair to say he's having a terrible season. His selections and the positions that he's utilising players in is just not helping the team.

The positions of Savinho, Foden and Marmoush was absolutely bizarre.

No one survives a season off after what has preceded it? What a sad state of affairs that is.

I can see not risking Haaland, but the other 3 couldn't have been worse than who was out there. Grealish has been playing better than Gundo and Foden, Doku might as well get some game time to get some match fitness.
