I think that’s fair.

We’ve seen it with Jack it’s not enough to just be a cog.

Those wide positions are vital to ensuring Haaland gets space and players need to get in there with goals and assists.

That's my feeling the 3 behind Haaland have to ne tbe X factor / magicians not just cogs in a machine. Think we're getting towards that.

He needs to improve his finishing yes, he's got 7 assists already and can easily get double digits in his debut season in England so he's doing fine in that aspect.

Watched him at Girona. He just needs to calm down in front of goal, that's the criticism he had last season. He panics rather than set himself correctly . La liga pundits said it was like watching Vini before he calmed down in front of goal shoots without thinking where to place the ball. Vini jr did the same thing could get past and dribble but lacked composure when finishing.

That was the difference they kept bringing up between Yamal and Savinho. Both incredible young players but Yamal would be calm in front of goal. Savinho would only be calm when finding someone else to finish a chance.

We won the treble with non-scoring wingers on both flanks in Grealish and Bernardo, so it is enough if the team has enough goals coming from elsewhere.

It doesn’t hurt to score more though!

We did, but mobility was coming from elsewhere and their talents were at peak levels allowing Gundogan to have a field day.

We’ve been substantially weaker in both areas recently. The easiest fix is the wingers to start chipping in.
 
Hardly remember seeing him tonight which ain’t something I usually say about him. He usually brings a lot of fire.
 
Well I guess he ain't a 10 or a 9 or whatever the fuck Pep asked him to play tonight, thankfully we had wing wizard Bernie on the right side in the second half, who gives a shit about beating your man and putting good crosses in which we know Savinho can do when you have Bernie doing his trademark step over and pass it backwards magic.
