Pep Guardiola - 2024/25

Has to be a personal record for number of games in a season lost by 3+ goals, no?

Still setting records at least!

Except this is a complete anomaly across his career, which suggests it isn't his fault.
Yeah sure mate he's infaillible isn't he ? actually a brainfart CL system and performance isn't an anomaly for him, he's done that almost every season with us.

Pep is the best man for the job but it was disappointing he made no effort to change the game tonight. The shape was all wrong and needed tweaking, the lineup in midfield didn't work either. The one thing that midfield of Bernie, Gundo and Nico should give us leadership but there wasn't any. He needed to make changes sooner but I can't blame him for throwing in the towel.

Coming back was never realistic so ensuring we are in the best shape for this weekend and beyond was arguably the more sensible call. I would have just liked to see a bit more fight and passion from the side than we got.

But he is the man who has forced such high standards and he is the man who will bring them back.

I hope Pep has new ideas and hunger and motivation for this huge rebuild job. he looks just as tired in some ways as Bernardo to me. personal life issues adds another layer onto this, his marriage etc.

we need the best of him for this rebuild to go well. best of him mentally, best of him tactically.

he never stayed as long anywhere before City where he could have reached a point of such a drop of performances. at Barca his last season wasnt great (tho not as bad as this season), and pressure got to him, also boardroom politics above his head, and he needed a year off sabbatical and he was 12-13 years younger that time.

its a big challenge for him too, a specific challenge he never faced before.

You should sack Guardiola because his behaviors - tactical inflexibility, open frustration, dedication to play certain players, few subs - remind me of his 2nd last year at Barca. The players are tired and he is also mentally tired. He will demand another 250 million euros in the summer and if you cant spend that amount, then that will be his excuse next season. Imagine spending more $$$ on players like Nico Gonzalez who was not even physical enough for La Liga.

Ake & Akanji have been playing injured for months, and Pep has thanked them both publicly for it, knowing it has given them no rest and recuperation this season, and possibly led to below par performances.

Often, those outside the dressing room and treatment room have no idea of the sacrifices players make to help the team and get on the field. I personally took injections between my toes to numb the pain of playing with a broken foot (my kicking foot) and, a different time, I played with a soft cast on my left ankle when I tore ankle ligaments.

Sometimes, timing isn’t on your side and needs must.

Not knowing how many, and who, have been sacrificing themselves for the club this season, I can only admire the effort.

We have, by City’s recent standards, had an absolutely awful few months after a great start, yet we are 4th in the PL, playing Plymouth at home in the FA Cup, and that would be an outstanding season so far for about 16 of the other clubs in the PL!

As a FOC, I’ve not only seen but also experienced the lows the club has faced since I started watching in the late 60s. This is not that!

COME ON CITY!!

How about you fuck off to whichever' forum your team comes from
He’s going nowhere the GOAT

I really see him walk in the summer. Another season is going to make no difference to this team. It needs too much work for pep to sort & it could hinder our new manager if he does stay.

We have so many players that pep has so much loyalty too that need to go. He won’t get rid of them all & that’s what’s needed.

Ancelotti is a better manager as he adapts to the players at his disposal.

What a load of complete and utter bollocks. If Ederson didn't lose his mind last week we'd have been right in that tie.
They were miles stronger than us. We just had tidbits. They deservedly won the first tie and the second.

We are no longer an "elite" team. We could be if we were able to convincingly beat teams regularly. Like we used to. But we can't. And there's no point in living in the past like the history clubs.

We need to address the present and face the problem straight on. Pep is being shocking game after game.

I don't make any decisions at the club and I don't know what issues are going on behind the scenes. I can only judge by the decisions and performances on and around the pitch.

pep isn't walking at all and the board isn't gonna sack him it's a bad season give them the summer to make the changes and see where we are you have to give pep the chance to changes things otherwise god help the new manager if things don't go well we will just end up like united and spurs who sack the managers constantly
