Pep hasn't lost a league game to Liverpool at Etihad. Arsenal will be right back in the title race (if they aren't already) after this game.
Maybe a gallant 0 -1 where we get some terrible decisions wouldn't be the end of the World then. Scousers are bad enough, but tarquins winning the league doesn't bear thinking about.

Can’t see us getting anything out of this, fear it could be another drubbing.

Not sure where to start picking a team - Stones out no doubt, Dias and Ake nowhere close to being properly fit, Gvardiol looks mentally shot and in need of a break (understandably). Lewis too lightweight for a game like this. Nunes not a defender.

Need bodies in midfield, but that probably means playing two of Kovacic, Bernardo and Gundogan next to Gonzalez, which will be shite.

Up top, no idea. Foden should be a shoe-in but doesn’t look interested. Maybe throw Doku in just as a wild card?

Ederson
Khusanov, Dias, Ake, Gvardiol
Nico G, Kovacic
De Bruyne
Savinho, Haaland, Marmoush

Let's see. Think we can win this at home but would take a point. Liverpool are an excellent side even if they are in a bit of a rough patch and we're generally still good at home despite this season's downturn in form.

Gonna be another long day unfortunately! Just dont get battered please lads.

Ederson
Khusanov
Dias
Gvardiol
Ake
Nico
Kovacic
Marmoush
Savinho
Doku
Haaland

I`d swap Ake and Gvardiol around as Ake has done well against Salah over the last few years.

We seem better at home it's away that's the real worry for me. Real apart nobody has come to our place and played us off the park and I include spurs in that.

Liverpool aren’t playing very well currently so that gives us a chance. We have a good record against them at home and in our last two home league games we have played well. How much of that is down to the way Chelsea and Newcastle set up I don’t know but it was promising.

If Liverpool sit deep like Madrid did then I think they will win but you never know.

I’ll sit on the fence and say 2-2.

This game could be a real marker of where we have go to and what we want to achieve. When we last played then we gave ourselves little hope. I wonder if the team has the hunger to put that right on Sunday.

We still have horrendous injuries, but coming to our place we should be up for it, and a great chance to fire a warning shot to both arsenal and liverpool that we're rebuilding, not declining. Even a draw would probably give us confidence given what we've been through, but a win isn't impossible. Disregard last night's result, Sunday is all that matters for this club and group of players.

Here we go again, the same old defeatist shite we had before the Newcastle game. They drew with Everton and Villa in there last 2 away games and we’re extremely fortunate/ref assisted to beat wolves in their last home game

They're bound to be getting nervy too.

I know Van Dijk was telling the newer players to "enjoy the ride", but the only PL title they won, didn't have a title chase. Every close race these players have been in, and they've been ahead in title races multiple times now, has ended in them losing.

An Arsenal win at the weekend, and they could be getting very nervous.

We can definitely get at them defensively if we play at a high enough tempo to isolate their full-backs.
