President Trump

It’s a choice and an opinion.

Personally, I think he’s neither. I think he is a silver spoon, malignant narcissistic, who used his perceived financial acumen to fleece people in his business life and used a “Reality Show” to vault himself into politics.

He’s clearly far too “worldly incurious” to be President, but given the power vested in the position by the Founding Fathers, he really does think Article II gives him carte blanche to (effectively) be a King if no-one firmly enforces the guardrails intended to stop that.

I know psychology is not really an exact science, and a diagnosis is difficult, but I just went down the list of psychopathic traits and ticked them off. He regularly demonstrates all of these traits below to a greater or lesser degree.

  • Antisocial behavior: Disregarding laws and regulations, and violating the rights of others

  • Callousness: Lacking empathy or remorse, and being indifferent to the suffering of others

  • Disinhibition: Being impulsive, and having poor behavioral controls

  • Egocentrism: Having a grandiose sense of self-worth, and being pathological

  • Manipulation: Being manipulative and deceptive, often for personal gain

  • Superficial charm: Being able to mask their true nature with charm

True. But so far here's what we know from thr previous ruling:

The ABA argued that "every administration has the right to review ongoing programs and set priorities, but those actions must be carried out in compliance with relevant constitutional and statutory requirements,”

Judge agreed and "ruled in his temporary order that USAID and the State Department, which also funds foreign aid, may not enforce Trump's order through blanket suspensions or cancellations of contracts or grants, though he said they could enforce the terms of particular agreements."

The administration said in Tuesday's filing " that it was complying with the order, but was reviewing its contracts and grants and had so far determined that all of them allowed it to cancel or suspend them."

Now, the organizations have filed, requesting that the court hold the administration in contempt for defying his order...

How do you think he'll rule?
He won’t find them in contempt. He may issue a new order requiring them to demonstrate that all the projects they claim are suspendible actually are.

Trump has given Russia the green light to invent more lies, disgraceful behaviour from a NATO member and US president, “in order to steal Ukraines rare earth metals” Two superpowers fighting over Ukraines wealth. It belongs to Ukraine.
Trump does a deal with the devil and Farage says “Trump is not to be taken literally”

Just think you are deliberately derailing it for laughs and giggles
No, he’s trying to backfill justification for his decision to support him in the face of the evidence of Trump’s unsuitability. “Europe is much more right wing”; “Trump did this BUT Biden did . . .”; “Trump said he’d abide by court decisions, so why are you worried?” etc. etc. etc.

Imagine the mind of someone who would vote for “an idiot, all the time.”

It’s all so laughably transparent. But my biggest problem is that he seems delighted we are depressed and worried. He seems unconcerned with the suffering of others. He’s never expressed one whit of empathy for anyone here or otherwise that I recall.

I don’t think his football takes add a lot of value either.

Agreed he is unlikely to hold them in contempt. Bur i also doubt he'd be requiring they demonstrate to him that all the projects they claim are suspend-able, in fact are. That will be him overstepping the bounds of his jurisdiction.

Which again, was the problem with lots of these cases all along. What those bringing the case want cannot be granted by the judge without overstepping his jurisdiction.

Where's that list from? Donald's CV on LinkedIn?

Well, i suggest we seriously consider banning him from the forum.

Always delivering bad takes. Has no empathy for others, always backfilling justifications, shit footballing opinions and not agreeing with me.

Ban him I say

The 12 original signatories of the North Atlantic Treaty would be utterly appalled at Trump's behaviour.

And you want to make it about disagreements. Well, I disagree with takes other posters have on guns and gun control, on music (strenuously sometimes), on Pep’s decisions, on the capability of the U.S. based football color commentary crew, and other things too.

But I don’t think any of those “opposition” posters carry “the ends justify the means” as a moral code. Because you can bet I object to that.

But that is your code, whether you think so or not. What else could one possibly conclude about someone who voted for — and regularly defends — “an idiot, all the time”? You tell me. Is he a useful idiot then? To you. What about to others? Do you believe he’s harmless? Did you vote for him so Vance could get a leg up then?

Feel free to explain if you disagree, because I don’t know what other conclusion to reach.
