What about a back 5? Dias, Ake and AK as 3 CBs with Gvardiol and Nunes pushing up as wing backs, with Nico holding, would probably not leave so much space?

Im now thinking how do we play so that none of poor performing midfielders have to play, and use young players, probably go back ti basics of a 4141 and invert the LB to make the 325 I suppose?

Ederson

Khusanov
Dias
Ake
Gvardiol/Nico (invert next to DM)

Nico

Savio
Foden
Marmoush
Grealish/Doku

Haaland

Wide wingers who like to be wide.
Marmoush and Foden floating around the striker

If Haaland is still injured, play McAtee false 9.

I realize Kova and KdB are likely fit with little mins in their legs, but id like to see a purely youthful side have a crack at it.
100%

Keep an experienced bench to see the game oot.

If Haaland's fit then I fancy us to win this. Just got a feeling

If he isn't, and we play a similar lineup to Wednesday, then we've no chance

Who to hate more. Decisions, decisions. :-) despise the pair of them for different reasons.
Throughout this 'Destroy City' campaign the dippers have been acting in the shadows possibly connected to the hacking case.

However, they are front and centre along with the other yank cabal.

We have royally fucked up little woods in the last decade and they have been feeling it !!

The worse thing Pep can do here is start any of Gundo, Kova and Bernardo together. One of them is fine, but we completely lose shape and running ability when there is more than that.

Ederson

Khusa - Dias - Ake - Gvardiol

Nico - Kova

Savinho - Foden - Marmoush

Haaland

I'd maybe even consider KDB over Foden for that final ball.

Much depends on Haaland being available. He is brilliant at occupying the centre backs and creating space for Marmoush to operate, as per last week. Without him, I think we will struggle.
If he's fit to start then hopefully it's a similar team to last week's against Newcastle. I'd fancy us to win or at least draw if that's the case. Obviously anything can happen with this City side though and it's difficult to predict what City team will turn up at the moment. I do feel though that with the fresh legs our new signings bring can cause problems for them. Liverpool are clearly a very good side - they wouldn't be top otherwise - but I think they're showing definite signs of a wobble.

If we'd been playing this game a month or so ago, I'd have been lumping my mortgage on a defeat, but now I'm not so sure. We're definitely showing some signs of life, and are they having their wobble? Genuinely don't know. Having said that, I'm keeping Salah as my FPL captain anyway!

Really not looking forward to this

Yea Liverpool form has dipper but offensively they have way too much for us, they are creating a lot of chances they just aren't taking them and we are far too weak physically and mentally

Can't believe I'd ever say this at home, but I'd take a point 100%

Got a bad feeling about this

I really do hope someone in the press asks Pep about his thoughts on playing both Gundo and Bernardo together. Would be suicide to do it again on Sunday
