Another day, another snide article in the Guardian , gloating about our demise this season

Apparently the aura has gone and we’ll never get it back again

Pep is waning as a manager and PSR means we won’t be able to spend to rectify it
Have they all forgotten where the dippers finished the season after the most glorious prem league title win in history ?
We are 4th with an injury decimated team. These thick fuckers who really know shit about football , they think when introducing new blood the player can just instantly adapt even when not knowing the language. Does any one remember Rodri's 1st season ? Looked very average, but now the best player in the world. It takes time to adapt which reporters wouldn't understand as the only ball they have ever kicked is on a beach. Even then I bet mammy had to rub their little toe better.

They have used this "hit & hope" tactic for many seasons.
Remember those long, high balls behind a high-line defence that Surridge/Sterling/Suarez all chased down ?
Think Super Stevie Gerrard was seen as a visionary, amongst other LFC midfielders for this style of football.
In fairness under Klopp, they also whipped some killer crosses from their full backs.
But, they haven't played attractive, skillful football for a very long time...

Two observations:

If Haaland has it so easy, why doesn't Salah play more centrally?

First Carragher, now Salah... littke City tying up the biggest player in the Premier League has really pissed on their chips.
Play out wide facing one maybe 2 defenders running backwards or face 3 centre half's and a defensive midfielder facing your own goal in a area just in front of the box! That's before you throw in all the holding (without going down) and pinching.
Can't compare the two and he couldn't do it.

Not as boring as Arsenal though with their time-wasting and diving.

Interesting article in the ToryGraph this morning. Apparently the maintenance men at The Swamp are having to count out and count back in again any wood screws they use. And a stationery order from Carrington was short changed when it was decided that Sellotape wasn't necessary and had to be returned. Has a cup of Bovril reached a tenner yet?
No but Omar Berrada has to produce a cost-benefit analysis for the board whenever he wants a cup of coffee, and he's been told it has to be black, as milk is an unnecessary additional cost.

United fans, their vloggers and bloggers across the Internet and media are absolutely outraged at Ashley Young's dive........we have definitely reached the post-truth disinformation parallel universe. One of the greatest divers in their history....and they're shocked and hurt that he dived against them.

Messi dealt with him the best. Imagine his excitement when he saw a DM from Messi & google translating ‘Burro’……

Anyone seen this one?:

Apparently Pep football has been found out and has been superseded by faster direct football. We have been here before, this is no different to the old “that way won’t work in the premier league” when he first arrived. Instead it does work once he has the right players and they have time to adapt. No one could live with it and so they copied it and they still are doing that.

I have to confess that I think the BBC coverage of city is generally quite fair unlike the rest of the media and I don’t think this article is anti-city bias, I just think it is wrong.
