I guess Dias is on the bench because neither him or Ake can last a full game, so.if Ake has to go off he can come on.

What a horrible season this has been with injuries and loss of form/burnout. Major surgery needed in the summer and world class additions to compliment the youth we signed in January.

Me too, most people have predicted a defeat this week anyway. At least that team has a bit of pace and directness about it that will hopefully keep the dippers busy and honest. Rather that than, gundo, Bernardo, Kovacic and Grealish plodding about.

You're swapping the workhorses of bernardo/grealish/Alvarez/foden in that team for players that either can't, won't or haven't yet learned to run. It's not close to the same.

Going to be a very tough game this.

Unusual for them to have a free hit in this fixture. It’s usually one we both come to not lose.

This time it doesn’t have that jeopardy for either team. Both can play with less anxiety.

Probably going to be an open one with lots of goals.
 
Win and should give us a good run at second spot. Hope we come out swinging. I've a feeling they could be quite nervy today.

He was never going to feature from the bench against madrid it was purely to stop them knowing he wasn't playing if he wasn't on the plane. Pep has used the tactic of sticking players on the bench that he's no intention of using because they're not fit numerous times before, it's not a new thing for him. Sticking somebody on the bench that makes the manager think is better than a kid that's never coming on in peps mind.

Our strongest team would still be weak defensively so we might as well have a go.

It’s frightening how bad it’s been in such a short time, I have no issue with the team Pep has picked, quite bold really, but when you look at the bench…….i can’t see a single goal to come from it, it’s hit hard this last few months
 
The good news is we will.stil be in the top four whatever happens today, well unless we ship seven goals without reply. The bad news is we have our bogey side Spurs on Wednesday
