Slot ad his team suffered a lot few days ago at Villa Park.
they suffer nothing today, they sit back let us pass around than they break a few times often ending it with a goal.

they have a hard fixture vs Newcastle in 3 days they dont want to lose too much energy today and they dont have to due to our energy levels and tactics and badly out of form players.

I wonder what is happening in our trainings this season. are we so tired we dont even train? what must be the GK coaching look like?
let alone the set piece practices...

Rico isn’t having a bad game.

Sure. He's also offering nothing forward. If you're going to put a guy at RB that isn't a great defender, he at least has to offer something special somewhere else. That's what Liverpool does with TAA. The problem with Rico is that he doesn't bring size, speed or playmaking. So there's no payoff to playing him.

It's not that we are poor, it's what we are now compared to what we were.
As the saying goes "I could have spent a lifetime in darkness if I hadn't have seen the sun"
We are such a pale shadow of what we were that it is difficult to comprehend.
Old City would roll their sleeves up and lay seige to the opposition goal if we went in at 2 down. Now, I'm just hoping it doesn't creep to 4.

signing a striker in january only to play foden up top is genuinely so fucking infuriating i am running out of words.

Man what was that Kev...

1st half thoughts, I think we have actually "played" good, just been undone on the counter, typical under Pep (even at our best this is how we concede).

Doku needs more end product, dribble after dribble but passes straight to them.

Kev off for McAtee, push McAtee to false 9, Foden a little deeper.
they are letting us have the ball in the defensive third and mid third.....thats wht it looks like its comfortable...theyare setting traps and waiting for us to fall into them
Not sure what the point of wingers/fullbacks going outwide when they have nothing to cross to - watching Rico Lewis try to float a cross in is just bizzare - has he got the memo Haaland aint on the pitch? - at least Doku is tryingt o fire them in quick and low

2-0 though a little undeservedly so IMHO. We've played aa lot better than I expected given the starting 11. Dominated the game and got unlucky with their first being a deflection that otherwise would have been a simple save (but where was the marking?).

Our main problem has been not really having anyone to aim for up front. Savinho and Doku have both been excellent but when they beat their man, there's nobody for them to cross to.

KDB is another worry. We know he isn't as mobile or quick as he was but his passing, crossing and shooting have really gone downhill too.

Anyway, I'm quite pleased with that first half, despite the score. I can't help feeling that there's still something in this game for us if we can just find a way to make something happen in their box.

The desire just isn’t as strong as in the last few years. With a bit more intensity, we prevent both those goals and its 0-0 at the break.

No presence up front without the big man, just fucking end this season please.

Such an overhaul needed. Buy players to play in their proper positions. Not having proper full backs is killing us.
Yep, the dippers are playing with a packed defence knowing they can hit us on the break anytime they want. They just need to the ball to Salah or Dias. Our “full backs “ can’t compete with them

All that possession and all it takes is one player to lose patience and the pressure is of the dippers.
This is all about lack of composure and patience.
There is no coordinated press. This is a disjointed team.
Incredibly disjointed-new players, players totally out of form, like a shit Bournemouth
