Away fans / tourists in home sections

Not my picture.

So they don't tackle the scousers but .... East stand level 3 today - i'm a city fan (season ticket holder for 38 years and in the same seat in East stand level 3 since the Etihad opened). Just after half time 4 stewards come and get me out of my seat (I had to unzip my coat so my city top was on show to avoid any chance of being battered is someone thought i was a scouser) - they took me on to the concourse and told me I cheered when Liverpool scored. Did i fuck (they are on nearly as high a pedestal as the scum) - told them this and then they realised I was a City fan ... no apology and actually just a huge load of thinking they have "power" with their yellow jackets on. City can fuck off - i'm not entering that stadium again without an apology. 38 years and never had to deal with this shit.
This just isn't good enough. If the club don't get this sorted there'll be a good few who have been here for years and STs since CoMS opened who will be having thoughts. But, if the seat gets filled, i think the club won't give a flying fan fuck.

15 GMP stood at the back of 115 for the whole of the match, whilst the stewards dragged the Liverpool fan Out.

The Liverpool fan got through the steward ticket security checks at 115.

I’ve stopped going as much this season, and it’s nothing to do with the results. I usually go to about 12-15 home games a season. Been 5 times this season so far and got tickets for 3 more. I won’t be buying anymore for 65-70 quid to be treated like we have over the last few years. Hopefully I’ve got another 30 years left in me but things will have to change before I commit to anything anymore. The club need to be very careful. There’s plenty like me

Here's a question. I've been to watch other sports - both Rugby codes, Cricket, Baseball and others, where home and away fans mingle quite happily.

Why are we so tribal in football and violent with it? Why can't we accept away fans in home areas and just have a chat and laugh with them as they do in other sports?

What I would like to know is how the Scousers managed to get a big banner about exploiting loyalty into the stadium if people were being searched properly?
I think that's the least of our worries.

Thankfully they held it up before it was removed by the club and GMP.

Whilst over at Anfield.

I really don't believe they care a jot if us 'Legacy' supporters jack it in. As you say, seats will get filled by the 'Eventists' that spend £100's in the club shop and other hospitality areas. The hotel being built in the North stand ain't aimed at us that's for sure ...
It's going to continue and cannot see a way back from it now. (Barring a monumental crash onfield on a par with the old days) We have become all we once mocked.

This is partly a result of City sticking to the “integrity of of the points system” bollox this season. For many years we filled our away ends for European group stage games helped by OSC members having confidence to book their travel together,‘early doors. Most were high points owners but some in their group might not be.!It was recognised that we wouldn’t sell out our end allocations if we had to wait for allocations to reach everones’s points by which time travel prices would have rocketed.
Not really relevant to some of todays horror stories but what your advocating there is that the OSC members who don’t have enough points jump the queue ….. it has nothing whatsoever to do with the points system …. The actual facts are that City are the biggest touts and don’t give a fuck about Loyalty Points holders , OSC members , City Matters reps , season ticket holders etc all they care about is making as much money as possible from each seat and hospitality place end of , anything else is lip service

I agree in general, but football has never been like that.

Liverpool fans ejected from 115, the official singing section.
With the connotations to the number 115 I wonder if the daft cunts were trying to be clever being in that specific block.

Cunts deserved it and if any serious injuries do occur I hope the club and individuals in the club are held corporately liable.

The irony is Liverpool fans will be playing the victim screaming why always us.

Scouse **** in SS level 3 got taken out. Punched repeatedly, spat on and dragged into another part of the concourse.

If you sit in a home end, with an opposition shirt on or celebrate a goal you are putting your life at risk. We've all done it. Keep still, clap and play along etc.

The club is a fucking disgrace with tickets and it's time for protects and walk outs.

Who will the club blame when an away fan in the home end takes 1 shot to the face and dies.....

Because it's been like that for decades. Not only in this country, but all over the world.

Whether you like it not, it's an unwritten rule in football.

Don't go in the home ends if you are an away fan. If you do, don't wear your colours, stay quiet, and don't celebrate a goal.

Boring middle class days out. Do you want the Wimbledon and Lords crowds at the Etihad?

It’s our banner, they held it up with City fans. It was handed back to City fans after the police made both sets of fans take it down.

Absolutely pointless. The tickets were sold by the club. What do you think will happen when you give the details to City ??

We’ve got our own fans buying tickets from the Facebook group and selling them to the highest bidder, club can’t do much about that even if they wanted to.
