I always think that the best series have the highest investment (time) and the biggest payback - Severance is worth sticking with but you have to be prepared to invest your time - it's not a wham bam thank you mam type of series. If you need constant changes of pace then give this one a miss!!

The series i get the most out of are the ones that you randomly start thinking about hours or days later when parts of the plot come to mind as you unravel it in your subconscious

The only long series i invested highly in that was total crap was Better Call Saul. Just thought it meandered pointlessly and was relieved it was over as it bored me (controversial opinion i know)

@chesterbells yes totally know the scene you're referring to but it's nowhere near as bad as the scalp (off and back on) scene in American Primeval that i had to get my missus to tell me when it was safe to watch!

Struggling with Severance but loved Better Call Saul……..each to his own

Good idea, but the characters are just awful. Keira Knightly and Sarah Lancashire being the worst. The main bloke in it just doesn't work and they moved too far away from the archetypal assassin. The attempt at Guy Ritchie East End type gangster characters failed miserably, too.

Channel hopping on Saturday night (just gone) and stumbled across an old episode of Sharpe on ITV4 HD, which is also showing on demand with U & Drama HD.

Got quite excited about De Niro in Zero Day.

However it’s Netflix of course, so it’s pretty much middle of the road averageness aimed at an audience who can only be half arsed paying attention.

A shame, if this was an Apple TV / HBO production it would’ve been a million times better.

As a 71 year old who only is half arsed about everything in life I resent that comment
 
I notice the third series of The White Lotus has started on HBO, 2 episodes out. Will start watching tonight, the first 2 seasons were excellent.
