Do you lot hang on his every word? I mean I have heard he's made a comment, I dont know what it is, it hasnt appeared on any of my timelines and apps or media, I would have thought it was easier to ignore him than to go find out what he's saying.

Number of world cups won by European or South American teams: all of them. Last time I looked.
AFCON is clearly below standards needed to win Euro Championship/ Copa America / World Cup.
There are, and have been, absolutely brilliant African footballers. But what Carragher said was neither racist or untrue.

Not sure a Carragher is even suggesting that. Think he was trying to suggest that it’s not got a high enough profile in Europe for it to influence the Balon d’Or as much as the Euros. Even the Copa America doesn’t have as much influence.

America's and Europeans have a distinct advantage. Historically, nearly all WC have been hosted on either continent.
 
As much as I’d love Carragher to be a racist, this is a storm in a tea cup

If for example a player for PSG was tearing up the champions league and they said on TV that he won’t win the ballon d’or as he’s playing in Ligue 1, would that get the same criticism or airtime?
