I think you’re right and there’ll be a battle for a squad spot between Bobb and McAtee.

He can be, even if KDB goes it seems we have lots of options in there. Its why I think an 8 is far more likely target to replace Gundogan and Kovacic maybe Bernardo tooIs Marmoush a 10 too?
Go get the elite 8 box to box and maybe buy that Altimira kid we were linked with by Fabrizio late Jan as a 6.yeah getting him within budget will be tricky with the areas that need addressing. He'd be on my list for the midfield

10 - Foden / ?? / McAtee
i think I'd have my eye on in the 433 (if we play that more). Greedy idc
McAtee gone in the summer imo. Think O’Reilly will have plenty of offers too

Had a fantastic game against Villa so far.
My only concern is his speed or tracking back in transition for very top matches.
Apart from that he's absolutely superb on the ball and reading the game.

Really classy player , would really complement both Nico and Rodri
He’s also left footed which balances out the midfield with the other two being right footed
He’d also a northerner so will have no qualms about moving from London
We should be all over this if he’s available in the summer

If we can’t get Wirtz then I could defo see us going for Wharton and using Palaces interest in Mcatee to help the net price.
Not sure the pursuit of Wharton and Wirtz are related. Completely different players. We won’t go for Wharton as an alternative to Wirtz, if we want Wharton it’s because we are gonna play 2 from Rodri, Nico and Wharton in most games next season to wrestle back control of the midfield in games that’s been so lacking this season.
I like Wharton because itd mean Nico is also freed up to play more as an 8.
Id also like a more pure 8 like Camara, giving us:
Nico/Camara/O Reilly
Rodri/Wharton
as our midfield options, thats a really strong core in the middle for next season.
Of those 5, im happy with basically any 2 of those in the middle even if a crisis like 2 or 3 of them got injured.
Now buy a CB (Schlotterbeck my choice), RB (Livramento?) and the GK (Costa I guess?) situation depends on departures, then im happy with those 5 for next season.
