Right back options

After the problems we've had trying to deal with him previously, and given the PL tax, I doubt we'll even contemplate it
Also we seem to be shopping outside the PL last window - so wonder if we've been put off a little by some of the deals that we've overpaid on
Yeah i'd wondered if we would deal with him again.

But weren't they supposed to be interested in Grealish?
If so, maybe we can work something out for Spence or Porro?

Ola Aina is homegrown.. and is free in the summer, Livramento is gonna cost an arm and a leg in the summer and Im not sure hes worth it, Im not even sure a Saudi owned team will sell at all rather than take the PSR financial punishment instead, remember they sold Elliot Anderson and not one of the big guns a couple of days before the psr deadline the last time.

Ola plus someone else could be the solution. Similarly I think Miguel Gutierrez is gonna be cheapish from Girona in the winter and could be a good solution for the left back regular/back up, depending on where Gvardiol eventually ends up when he becomes a bit more seasoned in his career.

And spend the real money in other places, like Wirtz. Cos its gonna be like in the 100s of millions pretty fast otherwise.

Think newcastle would rather lose livramento than isak, Gordon or Bruno.

If Spurs do want Grealish Levy would still expect to fuck us over on a deal.
Walker was a hard enough deal - and when we've looked at others Levy has been an arsehole.
I'd rather we looked elsewhere - I feel you get better deals from outside the PL these days

How about Aina, Kimmich and Cambiaso with Gvardiol ? As our full back options ?

Kimmich as the experience and RB coming into midfield.

Cambiaso for doing the same on the left

Aina for right back going forward out wide.

Gvardiol for doing the same on the left.

Two free transfers saving money for Cambiaso and Writz and any other business

Cambiaso could play Right back in a crisis and Kimmich could play CDM in a crisis and Gvardiol CB when needed.

Can move Lewis further forward as we would now have 4 fullbacks

Nelson semedo available on a free what's not to like he's fast can defend and attack and puts a good ball in the box.And he's Portuguese so would fit in nicely maybe as a back up right back.

Not a bad call, I’d take him as a back up to a cambiasso
Also ait nouri (one year left) is class
We need solid players to back up the first 11

If we want a freebie 2nd choice, walker Peters is out of contract in summer.
Not good enough for 1st choice but he's English and has PL experience

I wouldn't mind Djed Spence from Spurs. His form has been good this year and he is playing out of position at left back. The trouble will be dealing with Levy.
Don't think the club is interested in dealing with Levy again, at least for long while, after the Kane saga.

Watching Forest v Ipswich. Every time I watch them I'm impressed by Aina.

Not a huge name, and maybe not someone who'd excite, but if it turned out we wanted to spend more money on other positions, I believe he's out of contract in the summer and could be a decent short-term option.

Nelson semedo is available on a free wudnt be the worse signing as a back up right back either.

He's a backup right back option at best. We don't need a backup right back and dont have the space for one, we need a starting right back. We've got Nunes, Lewis, khusanov and akanji that can all cover. We want the Gvardiol standard signing and need to be prepared to pay gvardiol money for whoever that may be.

I think he *could* be better than that. He's 6 foot tall, strong, a good footballer and pretty fast. Possibly not first choice, but he wouldn't be too far down my list of options.

We'll see what happens. I look for better available options and I don't see them in the matches I'm watching. I'm sure there will be options I've no idea about though.

For free as a squad player I agree. Has been very decent for Forest.

We have zero legitimate full backs at the club. And 9 Centre Halfs. Its a mess quite frankly. Aina could take a squad place of Nunes/Stones/Ake/whoever leaves and do a better job than Nunes (not slagging Nunes off unnecessarily but he is never a right back).
