Is that what his girlfriend said whilst being kidnapped

Odd situation with Arteta, feels like latter years Wenger. Arsenal fans wanting Arteta out gets the "be careful what you wish for" from Arteta-lovers.

Don't sack Arteta, but there's no guarantees Arteta can bring them over the line.
Sack Arteta, new man might be able to bring them over the line or actually revert them back to the 4th-6th placed Arsenal.
Last season was the decider for Arteta, celebrating after getting a point at the Etihad was telling, we were there for the taking and hence the title they did not have the courage to do it.

I can't see them getting better, he will be under huge pressure from the first game next season and I have my doubts he and his players will handle it.

I think we're in danger of being unfair, but unfair to City rather than to Arsenal. Since Arsenal won the PL last City have won it 8 times! We almost take winning the PL for granted. It's almost as though it's easy. But it isn't, not by a long way. and as Shankly said "first is first, second is nowhere". If we look at managers who have won the PL we have to admit they are a pretty talented bunch. Three of them won it with City which I believe it is more than with any other club and we consider the greatest of them all has won it (six times and counting) with City. For many reasons Arteta does not match up to the names on that list. His limit seems to be second, and a clear second best. He may prove me wrong, but I doubt it. It can be argued that he was a title winner at City as assistant manager, but he's not the only one, which shows that the force behind our titles is the incomparable Pep Guardiola. Not everyone can win the PL by any means, and Arteta belongs among that list.

Seems almost absurd given the media narrative of us having such a horrible season and Arsenal being title contenders, but they have literally only won 1 more game than us this season.
Great stat - Winning titles with no strikers in the squad is not for everyone

I've had a slight fancy for a while that the bloke at Bournemouth, in the last year of his contract, may well soon replace Mikel.

Just a guess.

Arteta is too emotional and it transmits to his players. They need to stop waving at the crowd and focus on their task. They lack discipline on the field. It is a huge flaw. Slott has improved LFC after Klopp by calming them down.

Many PL players at the top level have forgotten how to roll their sleeves up for their team, the scousers are doing so well because they have more players who will get stuck in for the scouse.

Artete is having a problem motivating multi-millionaires it must be the same for most managers now, when slot gets his own men in and the bingo signings dry up the scouse will die on the vine too.

I said at the start of the season after we'd won the league with Kev only playing half the season & Erling missing 3 months could Arsenal do the same if Odegaard & Saka missed similar portions of the season & they've bottled it.

It's shown how much they've relied on Saka, when teams have doubled up on him it has released more space for Trossard, Martinelli & Odegaard when he's played.

It seems the pressure has got to Arteta. He's gone from a playing style of Pep & Wenger to Pullis & Allardyce

Maybe. But Slott has organised his side and got them playing how he wants. Fair enough. Lego doesn't seem to have established any pattern of play in all the time he's been there.
As was stated, he started out trying to emulate us with a Pep-style approach, but now it's mostly hit and hope - hoofball.

For the money and the time Lego has been there it's a pretty poor return.
