My YouTube channel - Episode 48 (P26)

Nice work Phil. ;)
Next stop, New Hampshire. Went across the lovely covered bridge in the pretty village of Jackson earlier today.

Your next project. Make it so...,;)
Yeah…. Vermont has 100 bridges - the other 5 New England states has a combined total of 85 (Rhode Island has one!) so the project is there….. I’ll see what the wife says when this one is finished!

Get over to Prague but maybe without your Mrs ;)

Prague is not just the city of a hundred towers, it's also packed with bridges. The Czech capital is home to more than 250 bridges and footbridges, 31 of which span the Vltava, Czechia's longest river.

A beautiful city indeed, with as you say, a ton of bridges with the the most famous one being of course; Charles Bridge. Magnificent.

Will you make a series about the bridges of Salford, please? Some nice ones that the kids have decorated. You might have to include some subways to make a complete series, though.

I'd like to start by saying THAT'S A COVERED BRIDGE!!!, in the same way that Pluto is a planet :-)

Looks bloody freezing there and the gap in the ice showing the running river beneath reminded me of the river of ooze underneath the city in ghostbusters.

As ever interesting video mate, keep 'em coming.

Have you always been interested in bridges, or is it a relatively recent thing MES? And is it just the covered variants?
I mean we all like a good long suspension bridge but beyond that, no. Just moving to Vermont and discovering these throwbacks to the past all around the state, all different lengths, heights, design, colour etc.
In a country (world?) where every town / city is becoming the samesville, these remind us all of quieter, slower days.

Yes it is snow all the way for the next few weeks, filmed 13 and 14 in it on Friday. Episode 12 is in two sections as the bridge used to be elsewhere so i venture into the snow to where it used to be and then move on to where it is today and that bit was filmed in October.

A two bridge special.

Back in the mid 1800's the bridge (Transport infrastructure) was built to service a popular theme park just like scruffy Jim is trying to do to service his centre of grift using other peoples cash :)

The bits of wood sticking out of the second bridge and the woman walking across the other bridge under the river wearing a sturdy coat was hilarious :) Never ever drive a big wagon over a wooden bridge without first checking you are not going to die, it's important.

Having a letterbox so far from your front door would never work in this country, the entire thing would get swiped and specially on giro-day in the pool :-o

Took your life into your own hands with that latest episode, one thing that I have just realised is how close together those bridges are (I thought they were a lot further apart).

That Kissing Bridge shop is a place where I would have to drag the missus out of before she bankrupted me :)

Is that snow ever going to thaw?

It’s thawed a fair bit today - but then it becomes what is known as in Vermont as “mud season”

Yes it was a bit hairy walking down that track. Knee deep in snow. Going back up was even worse! But had to tell the story!

They do tend to be situated in clutches - and made by the same localish man in each relevant town.
Will be going out next weekend to film 5 in a day. Two are side by side.
Further along the line there are 3 on the same road over a very very short distance
