Keir Starmer

I think Starmer and Macron will attempt to feel Trump out with the European proposal before determining the viability of getting Trump and Zelensky to talk.

The problem will be when Europe don’t offer any concessions to Putin, that will not sit right with Trump.

If I were Zelensky, I would state any mineral deal with the States is not only dependent on security guarantees but an announcement from Trump that Russia were the aggressor.

Trump and Vance won’t last 4 years in office the way their behaving.
Whether you like it or not the American people love him and tbh he may even see a second term aswell .

Approx 30% love him, 20% are never democrats but can’t stand Trump, 50% despise him.
Btw he is in his second term, he’s after a third term which at the moment is illegal, obviously the law doesn’t impinge on him as we have seen over the decades.

Half and half scarf?

To be fair, I think the visit to see the King revealed our allegiance. It was a very deliberate push back.
He's playing the concerned for both sides role and seeing what develops, it would be very satisfying if he told Trump to fuck off which he's probably done in his head a few times but it would be very stupid.
You can be positive about both without slating either.
Until you hear the words Trump/America are wrong then he hasn't taken a side.

This is similar politically to the start of the current Israel Palestine bother, don't obviously favour one over the other until you have to.

He's done well so far, Kings letter apart. It may be impossible to do this forever. In terms of relationships changes of leaders can change things very quickly.

I think he's taking the intelligent /:grown up position which is acting as a bridge between trump and zelensky. 'taking sides' is for nob heads on Facebook and twitter/blue sky.

Didn’t do bad for a guy that’s despised then did he

Some of the American people love him. I'd say a sizeable portion that do are ignorant racists/bigots with mush for brains, and the others are decent people, in dire straits, whom sincerely believed he could sort the economy. There will be millions who justifiably hate him, and hate isn't a strong enough word for him because he's pure evil. His intentions are obvious at this stage.

It's unfair to stereotype all Americans as being enamored with him.
