PL charge City for alleged breaches of financial rules

However confident we are, we will all be shitting it as the verdict comes out. Just remember to read the detail, not the bollox that they want you to believe.

Given Ziegler's "enthusiasm" for all legal issues relating to City, it's worth noting that the Times hasn't yet mentioned the Tebas allegations at all.
The allegations were mentioned two years ago and reported at the time. Tebas was just repeating exactly the same comments he made in 2023. Just an old story. As usual Rob Harris, SKY, and Simon Stone of the BBC made fools of themselves. The Times were a bit more savvy.

They have accused our directors and sponsors of fraud, fuck amnesty, can you imagine what the rag cartel fans and media would make of that.
I was thinking exactly the same when I read it this morning. I can't see the club even, deciding to just put it behind us and move on. Time to put an end to it all, one way or the other. I'm not sure I even care on the verdict at this point in time.

Local council bought it and rented it back for free!
Thanks mate, I knew there was something that involved the training ground and them basically getting a shit load of money from the local council.
Tebas has more faces than a Town Hall Clock.

Think it's fair to say ever since Pep made the comment about a March announcement that he'd heard something substantial in terms of the process it was heading towards and to double down on that timeframe now is a good indicator.

Plus he's a genius most of the time so I'll stick with his assertion.
Could be during the international break so that there is a gap before we play again, let whoever is disappointed calm down a bit before the next game.

How will the 115/130 announcement be made?

Premier league statement on their website?

Leak to The Times?

City website statement with a picture of the corner flag?

A YouTube video of TOJ lifting her to top to reveal ‘we’re cleared of all charge’ scrawled on her breasts in sharpie. With Khaldoon stood next her with a shit eating grin.

@slbsn on x ... The FT has an interview with Richard Masters today. This clip appears to confirm that the initial 115 decision is liability only (liable or not) and not sanctioning or "sentencing" as a well known manager has referenced. NB: separate process not separate independent panel.

For those who want to read it. As I understand it, the second (sanction) hearing wasn't a quote from Masters, but a statement of "fact" from the writer, but I suppose the FT are credible?

Article quote:

It is two years since Manchester City was accused of more than 100 breaches of Premier League rules, with the club and its rivals waiting for an independent commission to rule on the charges. The identities of the three-person panel have been kept secret, presumably to avoid them having to endure their own billboard campaign (or worse). A verdict could come any week. “I literally cannot say a word about it,” Masters says.

A judgment would not mean the end of the saga, which has cast a shadow over several seasons of City’s success on the pitch. If the club is found to have breached the rules, the independent panel will not decide on sanctions: that will be a separate process and the club — and the league itself — will have the right to appeal.

So the dispute will rumble on and fans will, presumably, continue to cry foul.

End article quote.

So either Masters said he could say literally nothing about it but then literally did, or didn't say anything and the writer just went with the flow.

The rest of the article was a bit of a nothing burger, tbh.
