President Trump

Trump has zero hold over Ukraine now, Europe should take the gloves off now and push Russia out. We hold the cards now not Trump, go on a war footing immediately, it will boost the economy but there will be tough choices, up income tax by 1p, put a massive hit on big companies for a one off tax grab and take all the Russian assets. USA cannot be trusted and thus needs to be clear, im sure begins closed doors the leaders are saying that.
Even though it generally fucks me off the amount of tax, I am more than happy to contribute my bit of I goes directly to where it is needed.

Understand that quick commitment isn't easily done for a lot of households - people that can, should..........

He's back pedalling now saying he wasn't talking about us or France but the other minor countries like Estonia and the like. But he's still insulting large parts of Europe but is too thick to realise.

despite only France and the UK having pledged troops.

Not very convincing, is it?

I'm looking forward to his next appearance in Europe, it'll be a bit frosty.

I was a Brexiteer and wanted out the EU, was thinking of voting reform and even sided with Trump on a few of his policies, but within 2 months him and his whole MAGA cronies have completely 180 degree turned me.

This Vance comment on us being a random country that hasn't fought a war in 30 years is probably the final nail in the coffin on any potential relationship with the US.

I think Britain has no alternative but to look towards Europe right now because this administration doesn't seem to care one single iota about us or Europe.

I think if these sentiments of change have happened with me, it will be happening across the country also with people of similar thinking.

I've seen the light ;)

The rate of totally batshit stuff coming out of the administration just doesn't seem sustainable any more. It seems to be accelerating rather than calming over time.

What will stop it?

This could get very, very dark quickly now, I fear.

It would not surprise me to see Putin have a nibble around the edges of the Baltic states very soon. If he’s going to do it it would make sense to whilst Trump is in office and also as quickly as possible before the other NATO states can properly tool up.

There’s no way Trump honours article 5 for the Baltics right now.
