where I live within 20 miles either side are Menwith Hill and Filyngdales. As Trump has decided to cut intel to our ally Ukraine then just send the US Military stationed in both places home and cut their access to info from both bases - its all performative and will last weeks/months but show Trump we have bollocks and they have skin in the game

Take away the context of who the threats are aimed at, if you read those quotes and were told those were quotes from Putin would anybody question it? If you told me those were from Hitler I wouldn't have much reason to doubt it.

The lunatic is ramping it up.

It really is an alarming position to be in.

Often, it isn't the information itself that is sensitive, its how, when and where it was obtained.

I'm no longer sure we should be sharing that kind of Intel (humint) with the current administration.
 
Americans need to rise up and protest on mass, unfortunately most are arguing their case against fake bot accounts on social media.

They must be pulling their hair out in the corridors of power.

This is unprecedented. We are supposedly the closest ally of the US, yet we aren't in the EU anymore. It's almost an impossible position to be in politically.

I imagine plenty of people in government are having sleepless nights about how we as a country navigate this.

Personally I think we need to rejoin the EU asap, with the promise that we will be at the forefront of a European military alliance with Britain and France guaranteeing a nuclear deterrent for the rest of the countries.

Still an unbelievable shit show.

It is super-ironic that the made up threat of being forced into a European army was used as an argument to leave the EU, and here we are, wishing we were in the EU and setting up a European army.
