Nottingham Forest (A) | PL | Post Match Thread

Pep is to blame, NO manager should come out and say it's ok to lose this season, If the manager waves the white flags the players will, Forget its all about the past titles wins or injuries, Bollocks you have EDS and Youth players hungry and good enough to finish in a top 4 place,

Stop pulling the wool over everybody's eyes, When you see players not being questioned after another loss something is not right, Sorry, Haaland today did you want to play, Foden shaking his head coming off ??? you were shit, But you know next week your place in the team is yours
Whilst not agreeing with all of it, losing really doesn’t seem to matter to them too much.
Gvardiol has had ONE booking this season. He’s out of position with Hudson Odoi the ONLY danger. Just bring him down, take the yellow and reset. I can think of a plethora of full backs we’ve had who wouldn’t have hesitated to do it. Actually, there were 2 fullbacks on the pitch who wouldn’t to have hesitated have done it, had it been necessary, but they were both wearing red!

Why the fuck is he using Silva we’ve got our next generation who sadly won’t be playing CL next season if he persists with him

The pass to Hudson-Odoi was superb but the defending was absolutely pathetic. Gvardiol was shit scared and did absolutely nothing. I've seen fucking five year olds defend better than that. Eddie should have done better but it was a decent shot and if you were him you'd expect the ballbag in front of you to block.it at least.
What irritated me is that Gvardiol didn’t need to be quite so tucked in, he was there with Dias and Khusa all marking just Wood, 3 of them in spitting distance of him.

95% per cent of the people on this thread would be saying that the QPR game was absolutely dogshit, instead of saying it was the best day of their lives if Aguero hadnt scored.
We were no better or worse than when we drew 1:1 at Forest in the treble season. Thanks for reminding me why I NEVER go on the post match thread. Fucking calling for Pep to be sacked FFS.

There's some right entitled slapped arses on here ,if this continues we will just become the next scum WE CARNT WIN EVERY YEAR give your fucking heads a shake and support pep the team and the people in charge and if you carnt do that FUCK OFF
Oh yeah!
Usually get that sort of super blueing on Monday. Well done.

Di you really think so? Inviting the attacker into your area before 'attempting a good block'?

How about going straight to the player and stopping the cross/shot at source? Get right on top of the player with the ball and there is nothing to block in the first place.

What's so annoying - repeatedly - is that in every match we are presenting the type of chance that no other teams ever offer us.
He couldn't. Coz that would have required him sprinting st break neck speed out wide. And would have been beaten by any average winger, who'd have simply used the defender's momentum against him.

Its advantage attacker when there is so much open space and you have time. Both of which Odoi had.

A defender's best decision is to slow the attack down and narrow the options. Thats generally the best decision. And Gvardiol followed the script correctly.

I’ll buy the injuries, age, complacency excuses, but Pep is just as big a part of the problem. We are painfully ineffective, it’s tough to watch in honesty, yet it seems we change very little in our approach.

Nico O’Reilly on instead of Kova and I would have at least felt like we could hang in there with some presence in the middle of the park, but the momentum of the game shifted away from us on our own fucking subs. Last 10 minutes an embarrassment for a team chasing a game.

Not taught us anything we didnt already know. Need a GK, RB, LB, AM, wingers that can score and a back up striker.

Bernardo, Gundogan, Stones, Grealish, Nunes, Ake, KDB, Mcatee, could easily go!! But KDB is our only creative player, dont think Foden is creative enough!!

It’s a big job for Viana, make no mistake!!

I never realised just how important our fear factor was, with teams anxiously knackering themselves out, just waiting for us to up it and slice through them.

Completely reversed, these days - opposition players generally, and defences especially, all seem so composed and comfortable, safe in the knowledge that we are toothless and hoping that their attackers will take advantage of our mistakes when they inevitably come.

There's such a ridiculously safe rhythm to the game when we have the ball, I reckon I could defend against us - and I was never a defender...

I'm really not understanding what Rico did wrong today? I thought he was a big improvement on Nunes. Pretty pathetic scapegoating going on from some people.
He didn't, in fact he looked like he added some urgency and was willing to take a risk. City fans love somebody to moan about
