Nottingham Forest (A) | PL | Post Match Thread

It was the sole reason. We were on course in getting a point.
A big part of it, definitely. But you could argue that another reason was that we hadn't already gained a 2-goal lead against what was a well-organised but, let's face it, pretty average team.

We're losing these games because of poor performance all over the pitch, it's fair to say.

Hit the post and as mentioned earlier in the post, just before they scored KDB's pass to Marmoush didn't quite travel.

Forest are well organised but no one was willing to get at them or make anything happen. Sick of seeing the same old sideways or backwards passing. Would have put Marmoush on for Bernardo and just gone for it a bit more.

Goal was a shocker to concede though, we didn't deserve to lose today. A draw was the fair result.
A loss is another wake up call for the hierarchy to get their transfer targets sorted ……..
prompt ……was one of our strongest attributes in recent seasons …

So you think peps free from criticism?

Also a lot of ifs.. in that mate.
Ifs buts and maybes don't win matches.
I think four titles on the bounce and 6 in 7 years whilst revolutionising the way football is played should afford him a certain amount of leeway yes.

The kneejerk reaction brigade have very short memories

I have learned one thing above all from today’s game.
We simply must get Aina as he’s out of contract.
He’s a proper right back.
He pocketed everything we tried down the left for sure. He'd be one of those typical City signings tho, show up after a ton of promise and he'll've had his price hiked with the compulsory City tax: then be a flop from day 1.

Yep. We've lost KdB, Foden, Grealish, Stones, Bernardo, Gundogan. Two of them are on the pitch but unrecognisable from what we're used to. FFS was a massive loss as well.

I disagree.
The fall off this season is tactical? How come we were top when Rodri was injured vs Rodri?

The fall off is because every other game we play, a defender gets injured, and we have players like KDB and Gundogan who should have the self respect that Walker showed and moved to a lower standard of football. And then Foden's game has collapsed. There are few matters coinciding. None of them have got anything to do with tactics. How come Liverpool and Arsenal are 1 and 2?

I'm not in the 'Pep out' crowd, and agree with what you say, but losing half our games - and not having had 2 consecutive away wins since August (as I was reminded by the radio commentary today) , I think the fact the fact there hasn't been any serious talk of Pep losing his job probably counts as having been given leeway, doesn't it?

It's not exactly a 'blip', is it?

First ever game my dad took me to was this one back in 1970 when I was seven. I can remember seeing the ball hit the net and everyone standing to applaud. Someone with a program advised Doyle had scored the goal. Don't remember much else apart from a nice lady offering me a biscuit, which I turned down. Overwhelmed on the day but it marked me for life. Been shite with women and followed City ever since.
Enjoy the weekend blues and fuck em all.

Are you on about today's result, or those going back to Nov?

Incredulous as it sounds, I’m starting to think that Haaland just isn’t working for us anymore. Slowly, but surely opposition CB’s have figured him out and we are stuck playing a certain way because of him. The days of him powering through on goal seem distant. He’s become a statue and can hardly move for the lack of space around him. Snuffle out Haaland and you’ve killed City’s goal threat. Crazy thinking I know but what is the solution ?
