How? We don’t have anyone on the creative level of Silva, KDB, Nasri. Foden is not a 10 and the same goes for Marmoush. Only hope is Echeverri but he won’t explode out of nowhere. Cherki is a must at this point. Will be much more expensive after the next World Cup.
 
We need more pace. Part of why Khusanov looks so good is he has proper pace. We lack it all over the pitch
 
my concern is about the team falling into a prolonged slump, similar to what some clubs (like United in recent years) have experienced, where a difficult period stretches on and becomes harder to escape. This is a valid concern, as prolonged struggles can lead to a loss of confidence, morale, and even identity within the team.we need to be very aggressive in the transfer market in the summer to address the situation and act based on reason rather than sentimentality .

This. Staggering how we‘ve become so toothless in those areas. Our only tactic now is to get the ball out wide and hope that Doku, Savinho etc. can create something. Absolutely nothing coming from the middle.
Not helped by the fact that we‘ve become absolutely shite at moving the ball through the middle of the pitch further back as well.

Will be like that if Pep plans to keep all the players who won everything and are finished at the top level.
 
Need to be ruthless this summer. Sell the players that can’t stay fit or are finished at this level and bring in some youth. Perrone at Como has been incredible this season bring him back.

He doesn’t want to though does he? Guaranteed playing time, beautiful location to live, owner seems like they are investing and succeeding? Why come back to more than likely sit on the bench? Let’s be honest, if Stones or Akanji were fit, we wouldn’t have seen Khusanov this season really would we?

This is why I hate to say it but the players need to be ruthlessly taken away from Pep so he has no choice but to pick the youth/ young players coming. If Kev signs a new deal I don’t see Pep not picking him next season if he’s fit. Same with Bernardo brilliant players for us but are now on the decline.

Let the new Leadership take over in Dias, Rodri and Haaland. To help the young players

This summer is so important to avoid what you suggest may happen. This can only be facilitated with the replacing of several big name players who are clearly past it.
 
Is it a coincidence that two players who have put in superior performances recently are also our youngest and newest, Reiss and Khusanov. Pep has trusted Khusanov because he had no choice and that trust has been repaid so far. i would like to see Pep trust youth far more. Everechi introduced sooner rather than later to give the midfield/attack a fresh boost. I would also like to see O'Reilly partnering Gonzalez and Bobb played regularly as soon as he is fit to do so. Youth, legs, ambition, bravery and pace will go far.

Agreed! Stones, Gundogan, Bernardo, Ake, KDB and possibly even Foden need selling/releasing and the next new hungry breed brought in. It’s going to interesting to see who Viana buys and if Pep uses them?

I’d say yes to all those apart from Foden, I just think Foden needs competition in midfield. Another young player to fight him for his place.

My only concern is that he’s too comfortable and won so much at a young age g age that fire has gone?
