President Trump

The classic definition...

Aware of and actively attentive to important facts and issues—especially issues of racial and social justice.

It can and does mean very different things to different factions of the American public, and the British public for that matter. A highly polarised society like the USA will continue to morph its meaning over time and we'll limp along later as we increasingly seem to do.

Snowflake is not meaningless....

Snowflake is a derogatory slang term for a person, implying that they have an inflated sense of uniqueness, an unwarranted sense of entitlement, or are overly emotional, easily offended, and unable to deal with opposing opinions.
I thought it was a porn channel.

So my mate told me

Hungary under Orban is very pro putin and because of that a thorn in the side of the EU.
The Orange Shit Gibbon has stated he might pull his troops out of Germany and station them in Hungary.
If Trump and Putin are allowed to carve up Ukraine and end the conflict I can see the next step being Hungary.
Far fetched ?
I don't think so, Trump is destroying Nato, the EU wouldn't be in a position to do anything and who is going to attack the Russian troops whilst America are there and Hungary have welcomed them into the country, effectively you would also be fighting their troops.

Forget territory for territory's sake, Putin isn't interested in conquering Hungary, that country was never part of the pre-Soviet Russian Empire. Ukraine, Moldova, the Baltic states and chunks of modern day Poland were.

I liked Bele better as The Riddler, personally.

Also it’s quite difficult to chart how little I care about what you think of me or what I do or say.

If anyone is wondering what’s great about America, come and see for yourself!

But, like an American going to “England” and only seeing London, please don’t ONLY go to New York and Orlando, ffs!

See the REAL AMERICA, in all her glory, and not, and meet REAL AMERICANS in the smaller towns that hold the vast majority of our citizens, and you’ll love America for what it is, what it can be, and for all she has been for generations of immigrants who have made good lives here.

Yes, we have our high profile negatives, but they literally have no effect on most people, most of the time. None.

Lastly, ignore politics. Don’t talk about it. Just be human, and smile, and America will smile right back at ya!

Oh, and in case you didn’t know, America is at least 6 or 7 different “countries” rolled into one, so if you do a teeny amount of research, you’ll understand that the NE is nothing like the SW, either in climate, geography, or personality, in ways that Italy isn’t Germany and Spain isn’t Norway.

We are living in a strange time and while 1/5 of Americans elected this idiot, I’d venture 1/3 of them are beginning to realize their big mistakes and another 1/3 have yet to realize it. Don’t paint America with Trump’s brush. He is just passing through.
Been a few times in last 39 years and just loved everywhere I went. Met the odd crank but many more sound people.

Snowflake and woke are both sinfully wank words.

Would Russia need to invade given Orban is a puppet already?

Ok, but once inside a Nato and E U country where no country reacts militarily, Putin knows he will have no opposition when he moves into Moldova and the rest.
Meanwhile Trump is free to invade Panama, Greenland and perhaps even Canada.

It sounds far fetched but in relation to Putin, it's what Hitler did. If Trump doesn't have to worry about Europe as they are arguing about Putin, he has a free hand.

Hungary will have an election next year. The economy isn't good so they could see a change.

You care enough to tell me.

If it's difficult there's a solution, put me on ignore, simply don't reply.

Another post telling us all how little you care undermines your point and makes you look silly.

Putin and Trump are both difficult and easy to predict, the easy bit is to identify what they want and why and then to gauge whether they have the means and the will to get it, and perhaps most importantly of all, if they get what they want can they hold it.

Right now Trump and Putin may be in a position of strength, but they're both increasingly mired in a tangle of unintended consequences.

Herein lies a problem. Instead of just writing “I was wrong”, we end up in this endless cycle of explanation of facts and excuses and nuances that is just exhausting because some people can’t just come off the stance they have.

The seemingly widely-held human stubbornness and unwillingness to admit a mistake is why I have so little confidence and so much fear about how bad things have to get before Trump supporters come off him.
I’m not saying you are right, but you’re not wrong.

Have you looked up ‘Gobshite’ ?
It has multiple uses in this thread alone.
