Last I checked Atletico were 2 points ahead of Real in the LaLiga table. They also finished in 5th in the CL table whereas Real suffered several defeats and had to go via the Play Offs. Finally stylistically Real are much more open than Atletico and that works better for how we play. So yes bring on Real instead of Atletico.

Mate it doesn't matter what Real do in the league, they are by far the last team you ever want to face in the CL, not only do they raise their game in this comp they also get every bloody decision just in case, the only way to beat them is by completely destroying them like City did two years ago, if you leave them in the game you're getting eliminated.

Oh and they've won it 15 times while Atletico have zero titles just like you lot, btw Atletico are no longer ahead of Real in the league after their loss today.

Real are obviously a very talented side but they like to attack and for all their A player attackers they aren't super strong in midfield and at the back and I think we could overpower their midfield, with our defence doing a decent job of keeping Mbappe/Vini at bay.

Atletico on the other hand are Arsenal's worst nightmare. Defensively solid, able to play a low block, effective on the break. No thank you - bring on Real.

So, with that in mind I'm not going to predict how you'll fare against either of the Madrid teams but I'll just say that Real are not the beast you have described above.
 
Arsenal - again - proving Haaland (and more specifically Rodri) right today with that celebration. Don’t have the mentality to be winners. Too emotional.

A player at a club 15 points behind shouldn’t be running off shushing the crowd after getting an equaliser with 20 minutes left. Said it all when a few of his teammates were telling him to get back and stop fucking about.
