I actually applaud the timing tbh & hopefully it can act as a pickmeup for the remainder of the season with the reigns now coming off.

The football has been absolutely turgid for sometime now & this obsession with constantly recycling the ball clearly not working.

I'd also add his record of falling out with players has probably done him no favours either.

Surprising news for me, more for the timing of the decision than the decision itself. Got some big games ahead, and we can still achieve a lot this season.

Failing to make the champions league was always going to be a big problem for him. As that's started to look less and less likely Taylors chances of staying beyond the season looked less and less likely.

Yes, they are fourth in the league but are in one cup final and the semis of another. It looks harsh and timing is odd. It may have more to do with his relationship with the players as you suggest
