TV Series

Just finishing series 1 of Yellowstone. Pretty wank to be fair. There’s 1 overriding theme running in the background to do with a battle for land ownership between the whites and the Indians but the rest of the scenes are absolutely random and in no way support the rest of the show eg. When he caught the bus load of Japanese tourists in his field while there was a grizzly bear there. Pointless!
If it’s wank why did you finish the whole series?

I see this kind of post on here a lot. Does my head in.

If something is wank I fuck it off as soon as I’ve decided it is.

Good news for us Le Carre spy fans..

Succession star Matthew Macfadyen is set to play writer John le Carré's fictional spy George Smiley in a new TV series, Variety has reported.

Legacy of Spies is "currently in the works", according to the outlet, adding that Macfadyen would be the latest actor to play the writer's arguably most famous spy "should the series move forward".

Smiley has previously been portrayed on the big and small screens by actors including Gary Oldman, Alec Guinness, Denholm Elliott and Rupert Davies.

How is a group of tourists straying from their bus and being getting chased by the local wildlife in a National Park random? I'd say it's relevant.

I thought I’d give it till the end of the first series in the hope that it got better if that’s ok with you.

And played brilliantly by Simon Russell Beale in the excellent radio adaptations.

Two of Le Carre's sons (Stephen & Simon Cornwell) both part of the production company responsible for this. Wonder if Nick Harkaway (another of his sons) will also get involved seeing as he's written the latest Smiley novel.

Apparently there was a follow up planned film to Tinker Tailor, from the book Smiley's People, Gary Oldman had agreed to play Smiley again.
I read after Le Carre died his son's pulled the plug on the film.

It looks like they were planning this.

Wasn't sure that 'Invincible' was still worth investing in with the third series.

And then the final ep of the current series happened and it was a real banger!

So, I guess they got me hooked again for the fourth run...

I was looking forward to 'Long Bright River' with Amanda Seyfried, but the first show was not good. Just about everything was bad and I could not find a bright spot.

Gonna stick it out for a few more episodes and review it again.
