But Pep, Tixi, Kaldoone and Serano have totally fucked up this team. Hopefully they’ve got the drive to mend it over the next year or two. For what it’s worth I’d like to see us go

Release Grealish and just let him be free for once like he was at Villa. Younger legs at the back. Foden deeper to get more involved. Savinho and Gvardiol playing like wing backs. And plenty of long balls from Eddie and Khuzanov to Haaland and Marmoush. If we pick a team like last week we have zero chance at all.

Its going to be tough. Brighton will be confident (why shouldnt they? they can get a result. They're on a excellent run of form. With our wingers having almost zero connection with Haaland it might take a bit of magic from Marmoush or a long ball from Eddie to bring us a goal possibly two.

If Brighton are stupid enough to play a high line then I’m confident that might happen. If they don’t I fear it will be more of the same. We are slightly better at home than away though.
 
Pep has spent the last week working on a new tactic - for his fantasy team!!!

If it works, he will introduce it after the international break. In the meantime - status quo.

Great post, the only question about Grealish is whether he’s permanently lost the mojo he had at Villa. He’s changed his style since he’s been with us and Pep is unlikely to ever trust him enough to have a free rein in the middle.

Great post. Like your team formation and you are so right about Jack. For years he has been wasted out wide. Similarly Marmoush - we haven't been playing to his strengths since his hatrick. Good to see Reis in your team too. He hasn't had the opportunities, yet, that our other 3 signings have had.
 
Nothing of interest in the pre or post embargoed press conferences apart from Jamie Jackson receiving some very polite advice from Pep that he should not ask about Europa League qualification when City's objective is CL qualification.
