How do you know he won’t develop that?
Probably, but it will take a lot of work. First, he has to recognize and accept that his spatial awareness is lacking and that it’s something he needs to actively develop. Without that self-awareness, improvement is unlikely. Once he acknowledges the gap, it will take copious amounts of deliberate practice—constantly refining his ability to read the game, anticipate movements, and position himself effectively.


That kind of development isn’t just about repetition; it requires targeted training, sharp focus, and a relentless drive to improve. The good news? Nico has the hunger for it. He’s got the mindset and determination, which are crucial. If he commits to the process and pushes himself consistently, he just might get there.

Not saying the players we have now are awful but not a patch on the previous unfortunately.
