That has been a narrative in different post match discussions from pundits, ex players, people in the media, all how they wanted a Newcastle win. Liverpool do get their arsed wiped as we know, but even on this occasion nobody wanted them to win.

The way the establishment has abandoned the city? Not sure the Exchequer would agree with that opinion. Isn't Dipperville one of the most govt supported cities re social welfare budget and govt departments outside London? I know for sure they have the passport office and one of the country's mega tax depts.

I know ;-) My client owned the building but sold it after they had signed HMRC up as a tenant. The irony was that they had to restructure the ownership because it was held offshore, and HMRC said they couldn't be seen to be paying an offshore company YCNMIU

Only because they know they would only prove that they are all stupid by continuing to claim how they are everyone's second team. Reminds me of a lot of rags who claimed every one loved their club because of the crowds they drew. They know different now.
