Everyone has a conspiracy theory.. but here's one question I wanted answered..

Why have his passes/ assists to Erling stopped?

Watch the derby where they got a hat trick each.. what happened to that Phil Foden?
It's been coached out of him, in exchange for "control", problem is, now we have control (maybe too much control) but we have absolutely no idea what to do with all that control because the players who used to be responsible for giving us control still have that quality, but now the players who used to get goals and assists are also now playing for control! It's fucking obsessive. A team full of mathematicians but no engineers to implement the calculations.

Shows whenever we are on the counter how our players always look or turn back to our goal before moving. The amount of times where Bernardo, Grealish or Gundogan rather pass back is too high.

A season or two on loan at Dortmund would do him a world of good. He needs to work under a different coach / structure.

He's been at City too long and looks disinterested. A year or so away would refresh his game, or bring him down to earth.
Is this a clarkie?

Unless he snaps out of this malaise he risks becoming Citys' Rashford.
Seems to spend more time promoting his sons media presence. I have always had an issue with his reluctance to assist Harland often deciding to shoot when Harland is in a better position.

Just noting in passing that Rashford has now turned a bit of a corner.

Also that Phil was “fucked about” (technical football term) position-wise throughout his ascent, but it didn’t stop him breaking through.

No idea what’s wrong but both suggest to me that it’s not an incurable situation. Like many, he seems in need of a reset before next season.

He can’t beat people like he could because he can’t run. Doubt Pep has coached the burst of pace out of him

We are talking about his passes and assists
Yeah, but to make assists he’s usually turning away from someone or at least on the front foot going forwards, not gonna get many on the half turn having to play sideways. Granted i’m not sure where his range of passing has disappeared too.

Someone said earlier he's turning into deli ali.
Makes you wonder.

I can't work it out.
But at the moment how a city fan getting paid to play for his club can put so little effort .
Fuck nos.
Turn it round lad please

Well, tomorrow is his big chance with the England team. Since both Palmer and Saka are out this time, he has one (or two) chance to showcase what he can do, provided that Tuchel actually plays him.

Fail both and things can turn very bad

On this season's form, does Phil merit a starting place for England ?
I still think Bellingham and a defensive midfielder will play the 2 central midfield positions, so a place on the wing will probably the selection...

That's the thing, I think his place will be on the wing (I don't know what Tuchel will come up with though), and by form, Saka and Palmer will be ahead of him. But both are out, so I think he will get a chance this time.

Always wanted him to do well playing for England in the hope it would benefit his City performances. Unfortunately, I can’t remember him ever having a good game for England.

Did decent at Qatar, for 2 out of 3 matches he got to start, but that was 2 years ago.
