Why does Stuart Pearce hate City so much?

Who tf cares about him
I think a lot of City fans care when an ex player and manager has a heart attack.like it or not he is part of our history. I care about him. One of the best left backs I've ever seen play the game.

One of the lads in our pool team used to be a pro footballer. We were in a competition the other week and we played Motherwell. He won his frame and he was genuinely apologetic/ slightly gutted for winning cos he played for them 20 years ago. Made me laugh - wasn’t even in the same sport!!
Made me smile that.

I was excited when he joined City and when he became manager, I was looking forward to a strong, passionate side that gave everything. Like Pearce in his pomp on the pitch.

However, what we got was an absolute disgrace. Watching that team was some of the worst City football I have ever seen, and I've seen some dross.

I'm commenting on Pearce as the manager, and nothing connected to his current condition which I hope he recovers from. There is more to life and bigger things, than football.

Stuart Pearce is a bitter ****. That failed miserablly and created the worst record for a city manager. Took the club to a record low points and a record low goal scored goals. Realistally lost the club a core of 6,000 fans. Some might say we never truly recovered from that awful period
His lowest points total was better than Keegan's, Ball's and Royle's, even better than Mc/Friz in 1987 with 42 games,

We had some great aways when the home form slumped, pity not many went to them as we were not fashionable.

You can’t just make up stuff to suit your rant.
How can you quantify that he lost us 6000 fans. Just doesn’t make any sense.

He never got us relegated and he did well to keep us up when we had fuck all
Money. I’m not suggesting for a second that he did a magnificent job but he steadied the ship after keegan and kept is on the league.

He was limited as a manger for sure and brought in some dross but he’s not up there with the likes of Clarke or ball or any of the gumpth we’ve seen over the years.

The only manager since I started going in 1984 that made me not want to go to watch City

Worst manager in my lifetime by a country mile

Alan ball was a football genius in comparison

Miniscule compared to what PJS did to our club, cost us circa 30years, unforgivable.

Agree with that. We did see more goals with Ball in charge that is for sure
Pearce had better goals per game than Ball for City in total, but will a -25 in Ball's first season the total goals were better under Ball, sadly a lot more against us.

Exactly my point. As I stated in my earlier post. We lost a core base of fans through his tenure. The new stadium with no sense of belonging, coupled with awful transport links getting home , with the cherry on the cake being diabolical 'football' with a record low goals scored just lead to the worst era in modern time imo

I'd rather walk out of the room than watch Pearce's City team.
In fact I'd still rather do that if it was in-flight entertainment.

I remember watching the third or fourth game that season, think it was Reading away and thinking " where the fuck are the goals coming from this season?" I didn't think it would be as bad as it was though.

It was summed up for me when a guy sat behind me at the game had brought his little lad along, and I heard him say to someone "he's been naughty this week, that's why I've brought him!" and everyone around laughed. Thankfully we never lost our sense of humour.
