Wait until they announce the penalties for falling behind on payments or not servicing your loan “as required.”

As you’ve seen from the universities they’re going after, they’re going to try to destroy the educational system because they believe it serves the left wing. In its place, they will create a voucher system to kill public education from Age 5 to 18, then make it so only the rich can send their kids to private schools that toe the line on the Trump-Christian Nationalist agenda.

The Texas Dept of Education drives which textbooks are used in America, because they will not spend a dollar on those that don’t meet their standards. I’m sure you can imagine what that means and who creates their standards.

As it is, we have Red States propping up the bottom end of the educational standards in this country already and relieving them of any Federal standards will only turn over even more control to the “local School Board.”

Now, if you think the Presidential campaigns are nasty and deceitful, you ain’t seen nuthin’ yet!!! Getting onto the local School Board is the LIFE GOAL of most Bible thumpers in every School District…and in Texas, it’s the primary motivation of millions of ‘em!

The culture war in America is real and that war will go nuclear in a heartbeat!

It reminds me of what my accountant once told me about the Beeching Report. It’s easy looking at bare savings when you’re cutting public expenditure, but what that calculation ignores is the impact those cuts have on the overall levels of service, which inevitably drop. This is what will 100% happen here.

Criticising government waste is such an easy drum to beat, but it’s far harder to mange than people imagine. All large organisations have inefficiencies built into them, including, no doubt, Tesla, but that doesn’t mean removing those inefficiencies without it impacting elsewhere is straightforward.

But MAGA has made several mistakes.

Trump has a very able staff in support of him unlike his previous term. And too, Trump has learned the ropes - able to differentiate what he can get away with versus not.

I hope that Trump's eyes are bigger than his stomach. There's several indications that this is so.

Taking a chainsaw to all government agencies and waiting to see what fails and then fixing the failures is sligntly unpopular among MAGA. I say slightly because MAGA's initial reaction to the chainsaw is FUCKING AWESOME - until the chainsaw personally affects them. And still more bizarre most MAGA cling on even if the chainsaw fucks them: Although I'm suffering - it's for the greater good.

Fucking with Social Security - is, I think, an entirely different matter. Screw payments to MAGA elders... they're going to be pissed. I doubt that they'll vote Democrat as a result - but so long as the connection between their reduced benefits and MAGA is made clear, I doubt that they'll vote MAGA.

And a silverish lining in the MAGA coup - is that MAGA seems to think that they can get away with screwing with Social Security.

It's the way most American companies work.
They take over a brand, and then spend the next few years cutting things back.

The people at the top are paid to cut back and save money. Since that is their incentive, little regard is given to a long term outlook. It is only when the bottom line is being affected do they suddenly realise they have gone too far.

With consumers, once a trust has been broken, it is very hard to win those people back.
Cadburys cream eggs springs to mind. They fucked about and got found out.
Shrinkflation is also a form of grift that consumers are cottoning on to. Those fucking tiny Quality Street boxes are shite!
