Post Something Interesting

Excellent - ok so how about this one - world's larged Open Air Laundry in Mumbai - 2,500 people working in here in front of the sky scrapers of Mumbai - and yes they might even be rag shirts bottom right! (Scruffy jim knows a bargain when he sees one! ;-) )

They will be rag shirts as the Norwich ones are ob the left.....

The world's largest cesspit is the Bahr Al-Baqar plant in Egypt, with a capacity of 5.6 million cubic meters of wastewater per day.

Location: Egypt, specifically near the Bahr Al-Baqar.

Capacity: 5.6 million cubic meters of wastewater per day.

Purpose: To treat wastewater and transfer it to North Sinai for irrigation purposes.

Construction: The plant was inaugurated in September 2021 and cost 20 billion Egyptian pounds to build.

Guinness World Record: The Bahr Al-Baqar plant holds the Guinness World Record for the largest water treatment facility.

And there was me thinking that OT still held the record. That's why Scruffy Jim wants to build a new one....

Wtf is netto ?
oh come come now - how have you never heard of the wondrous scandavian (I think) Netto who predated B&M Bargains and under cut even Aldi and Lidi - bright yellow signage ISTR - to be found on all council and/or rundown estates that couldn't support anything better... I'm sure there was one in Heaton Norris...

There you go - 2008 from Google Streetview, knew it was there once!

Wtf is netto

Never seen or heard of that:)
Aldi was the first of these three discounters to open, with its roots going back to 1913, followed by Lidl in 1973 and then Netto (in the UK) in 1990
Netto (UK):
Netto, as a UK discounter, was founded in 1990, but it was later rebranded as Asda in 2011.

Acquisition:
In May 2010, Asda, a UK supermarket chain, purchased the entire issued share capital of Netto UK for £778 million

Haha hilarious mate!!

I just bought an angle grinder from Aldi

Didn't need it..
Oddly I bought a sander and a pack of sanding sheets (even though it came with 20) from Aldi about 5 years ago. Got the last laugh as I’ve spent the last weekend using it for the first time sanding a bench and repainting it - I claim foresight and I have purchased a euromillions ticket off the back of it
