City Announces Global Partnership with Viagogo

Tickets already on sale on the platform. Eg. Crystal Palace, £112 in section 142. Hospitality packages all showing around 10-15% uplift on face value. Can't see anything that says you have to be a home supporter to buy a ticket.

Yeah totally. I'm not disputing that at all, I was viewing it very much with Rose tinted glasses in potential relation to the charges. The ticketing fiasco has been handled appallingly badly by the club.

“By working closely with viagogo throughout this partnership, we will be able to offer a secure, safe option for fans to purchase hospitality in this way, improving access and best practices along the way alongside our current ticketing infrastructure.”

Hey Danny - how about setting up that meeting with City Matters instead?

a potential silver-lining, seems the club still thinks that tourists will still be interested in us for the coming years….
 
I feel well deflated with this, I imagine it was their intention. Make people close to the edge get even more pissed off. Consider leaving and then swoop on my ticket. Vultures.
 
Do they think using the guises hospitality seating makes it any better… we all know it will be more than that. Fans and the football is great but the clubs becoming rotten and alienating. Guess I’ll finally be missing out on away games next year. Willing to chip in in a banner or display as clearly they want to take the piss and rub it in.

Your core fanbase already very disgruntled about being overpriced for league games, very disillusioned about the athmosphere with silent day trippers, youtubers and closet away fans not contributing any noise in support of the team, so you sign up with the world's biggest ticket touts.
You're an away fan...no problem
You've no loyalty points or City purchase history...no problem (City fans need a a 5 game purchase history for big matches,(for "security reasons") you won't need that
Huge game, UCL semi-final, title decider, trophy lift, and you've never even been to any football match before....no problem. City will give you ticket, just pay the price.

Our ticketing policy is killing our club. Financially we are squeezing more out of it, but even tourists/trippers want to experience an athmospere, and passion, and we can't deliver that if the ground is filling with people who simply don't care..
 
What odds do we get that even though this will be another cash injection that season tickets still rise? Fucking farce cup schemes can definitely go, hope people realise now that the only way to deal with away fans in home ends is to make it unpleasant as the club won’t be helping matters…

I get mine with 20 Woodbines and a pair of nylons round the back of Mary D's....
