PL charge City for alleged breaches of financial rules

Dunno how well connected Rodders is these days, but I’ll cling to anything positive at the moment.

Wow that's a bit of a curveball him posting that, he didn't need to did he but he has.

I'll run with that.

Just as a side note, a little story about Mr Marsh from my youth.
(Please forgive me I've had a few)

I was with Oldham Athletic from 85-90, I signed associate schoolboy forms with them and was with them for 5 years. We used to train on a Monday and play games midweek on the plastic pitch at Boundary Park. One night in January/February or around that time Rodney Marsh and Peter Barnes turns up, full kit, bibs, moulded studs, ready to play.

Bear in mind we was 11 and 12 and only kids. We was playing 5 aside and Rodney was going in on us full on. Pushing us out the way, proper tackles, not giving us an inch.
Peter Barnes on the other hand was polite, giving us info and taking it a bit easier with us, was really chatty with us whereas Marsh didn't give us the time of day.
Still don't know to this day why they turned up, obviously mates of Big Joe who was manager of Oldham at the time.

Just thought I'd share. Possibly in the wrong thread. Ah well.

The sheep being shocked

Will have to be before the end of the season now as nothing can take the glory away from the whole country celebrating the dippers winning the league.
They will not want that to be over shadowed.
Everyone will be having street parties listening to footballs greatest anthem over and over again.
Not here we won’t.

Why would there be a settlement after the hearing? It’s been heard, it makes no sense.
Not uncommon in jury trials (which this obviously isnt). Until the full verdict, both sides are still playing the odds. The case and how it went is relevant information and would swing any settlement offer, but no guarantee.

A defendant can change their plea to guilty anytime up to the verdict being delivered, including when the jury are deliberating. Your arse would seriously have to go to change your plea when the jury were out!
