Roll call for 9 minute protest

They can't ban someone for not going to their seat for a few minutes mate

I agree with the protest mate it's plainly obvious, probably pull a muscle just looking at a placard but I will make some sort of an effort to support the lads and lasses out with their good fight on the night.

But like every protest of every kind it's our right to moan and try to get things done and it's everyone else's right to honestly do nothing.

Tough. I’m entitled to my opinion. I’ve been on enough protests in my lifetime to know well organised and ones that will be successful. Sorry @Damocles I respect your postings in the main but that one I have to disagree with. :-)
Why not try to affect change? At a time when all the different fan groups need to pull together and act as one it seems unreasonable that just because the protest isn’t exactly what you would have done that you won’t engage. Can I respectfully ask you to reconsider?

Leaving a big yawning gap in the seats will simply give the 'empty seats, can't fill your ground' morons something to point at.
The CEO won't care because you've already handed over your money to get in.
Why do you care that other fans use the empty seat jibe? There’s soon going to be a lot more empty seats with the price rises. If you’re that bothered about empty seats you should be supporting this.

I’ve been a protestor/rebel most of my adult life and have affected change in some instances and as my later post indicates unfortunately due to ill health I won’t be attending this match anyway but I wish everyone luck and will be with you in spirit. :-)

Would you protest if they took John Stones hostage and made him wear a red shirt against his will?

Exactly!!

The bean counters don't give a fuck who is sat in that seat. Wether it's a far eastern tourist with his/her half n half scarf and iPad. Or a local supporter that lives over the road.

The only time they will realise is IF (and I don't see it happening anytime soon) our success falls off the scale.

We are a huge global brand and lots of football fans want to be associated with us.

Fair play to the fans trying to get their point across, but personally I think it's a fruitless task.
It’s a fruitless task if fans don’t engage because they think it’s fruitless. The club have won already if that’s your attitude.

The club don’t just want the seat full they want someone to empty their bank account in the merch store and at the catering stands.

Where exactly are folks supposed to go for these nine minutes? With the game being midweek there’s always lots of late arrivals, so they will then arrive and possibly not get into the ground because the concourses could be full of protesters? Sounds like this could get dangerous and hasn’t been properly thought through.

I think there will be plenty of room on the concourse as if you look on the planner the game is only half full anyway. How did it get to this?

Ok that’s fair enough but that’s not what you said in your previous posts. Hopefully you’ll get involved in future action and I applaud you renouncing your supporters club membership. I’m only staying because when the opportunity to kick out Kevin Parker arises I’ll be doing everything I can to make it happen.

You have 21 thousand posts on here, that's a lie.
As I’ve been a member since 2009 I don’t think approximately 25 posts per week is bad or excessive.
Also, at present, as I’m not able to live the outdoor active life I once did I find this forum, amongst others, a distraction from the pain. :-) :-)

I’ve dealt with bullies all my life @Damocles but I was under the impression that I was posting on an open forum where my opinion is just as valid. :-)

As is mine. You are free to have an opinion and I am free to say your opinion is wrong then try to explain why. That's not "bullying" mate. And the posts thing was just a joke obviously

I’m all for constructive protests but having been caught up in crushes at several games it’s not something I would want to again.

I think someone should pin the demands of the protest on here. I read a tweet called Vianoshow and it was all about Viagogo. I am not protesting about the viagogo deal. I have no interest in it. It's about the distribution of hospitality seats and I have no interest in that. If it is about season-tickets, match-day prices and season-ticket availability I will join in.

Sorry don’t want to miss the kick-off.

Why don’t we stand up and turn our backs to the pitch on 9 minutes?
Because thats less visual. The point is to see empty seats. Because you know ticketing.
I hope the kick off is worth it to you. And by that I mean financially. When you're paying £1500 for your season ticket and surrounded by tourists, remember that there were people who tried to stop that from happening but you didn't want to miss the kick off.

*rofl* thank you, thank you @mexico1970 you have given me the best laugh today. I was beginning to feel bullied and intimidated and you have restored my faith in BlueMooners. :-) ;-)

In reply to your question. I would sort out an army to send to protest, I think I know the people I could count on to help me out. Or I might borrow my brother’s mobility scooter to defend John Boy. :-)

I'd lead your army for you, but I am an imbecile and a blowhard and I wouldn't trust myself to walk the Dog I haven't got :)
