FA Cup SF Draw | Nott'm Forest | Sun 27 April 16:30 | ITV1

That’s more to do with the cricket season starting earlier these days than football finishing later, isn’t it?
No

The cricket season has always started mid to late April whereas the end of the regular football season has gradually moved from late April (Denis Law backheel) to late May.

The 1969 FA Cup Final was played on April 26th whereas last season it was played on May 25th

It's only recently that cricket has clashed with the FA Cup Semi Finals and whilst I appreciate that most blues aren't particularly bothered it's a big problem for me as a qualified umpire who has to commit to fixtures in advance

The weather forecast for that weekend is pissing it down, monsoon style. You're in luck. Abandon play.

I posted in the bus thread but there’s more chaos on the trains with major works in Stockport. The article refers to fewer trains from Mcr to London (is that actually possible!) and major disruption for the next year. There are no trains at all the weekend before the semi

Its every year, 7 in fact
Why is it wrong to complain about not being able to attend due to a shite train service, that cant be accessed due to a late KO, at a venue convenient for neither team.
If we dont complain, nothing gets done. The ko against rags would have been 5.30 if we hadnt complained, virtually impossible to get home (Preston) for us, particularly if theres ET.

I know we're not there yet, and may not be, but am I right in saying this year's fa cup final is a 5.30 kick off?

I know we've had a good run of 3pm kick offs, but sure I read last year that it's the last one?

We won’t sell out but the other 3 teams will?
I can't be arse to check my facts but have any of the other 3 played at Wembley in the last 10 years ?

Vs how may times have we been there! I'm guessing we've played more than they have combined.

The only one I doubt for selling out is Palace as they only have 25k seats at home. Forrest and Villa will be all over it.

We played Villa in a final 5 years ago!

No reason why it won’t be a 3 o’clock kick off. All that weekends PL games are scheduled for Sunday and the EFL will be finished, save for the play offs.

Forest were last there in the play offs three seasons ago.

Villa have played at Wembley in 2019 (Championship play-off) and 2020 (League Cup final). Palace reached the FA Cup final in 2016. Forest played at Wembley in 2022 (Championship play-off).

Villa also played in the 2015 FA Cup Semi & Final at Wembley too - admittedly, just outside of the decade.
