FA Cup SF Draw | Nott'm Forest | Sun 27 April 16:30 | ITV1

Villa ‘may’ be in the Champions League the following week so they will play Saturday to avoid any issues - means were nailed on for the Sunday , already games scheduled for TV that day Bournemouth v United 2pm and Liverpool v Spurs 4.30pm although Sky have no rights for the FA Cup anymore so I’m presuming Sunday 3pm ITV/BBC most likely
Sunday at 3pm would mean a clash with both the rags and dippers game meaning lost viewers for either bbc or itv.

Would surely mean a noon kick-off then if they don't want any clashes because I can't see it being a 7pm evening kick-off. Although it doesn't affect me as I'm away for it, a midday kick-off on a Sunday will be an absolute ballache for the fans. And while I know they don't give much of a shit about the fans, I can see them going for a clash with other TV games and it being more like a 2pm or 3pm kick-off which would be about the most ideal time for the majority.

London marathon that day might effect an early k.o

Says Saturday 3pm but the more I think about it late Sunday seems more likely with London marathon Sunday morning??
No 5:15 game on the Saturday so thatll be Saturdays FA Cup KO for whoever gets the Saturday. John Cross tweeted about Villa and a possible CL semi final the tuesday after

Cheers - I wasn't aware of that.
Scoucers v spuds 4.30 Sunday,so I think it will be an early ko for the Sunday game, which I think will be us,and a late ko Saturday so not to clash with championship games.I think Villa will get Saturday game as they could potentially be in next round of champions league on the following tuesday

Shame that they are both at Wembley or we could have both played on the Saturday which would have solved a lot of timetabling issues

One, we've probably played there more times in the past ten years than any other club.
Two, it's just another football stadium in a shitehole of an area that horrendous to get to and out of whatever mode of transport you choose.
Three, it's around 200 miles from Manchester. The kick off times for games there range from at the very least problematic to get home if you take the train, to impossible as the last one will have left.
Four, it's expensive. Travel cost, tickets, possible hotel cost and food and drink in and around the stadium are extortionate and generally shite.
Five, it's just a semi final and if you're lucky enough to win it you have to do it all over again at the same place, encountering all the problems and costs in my last four points.

Just come home after the game like the 2000 who went to Bournemouth did yesterday a much more difficult journey, but a brilliant away end with fans desperate for City to succeed and to be there regardless of the hurdles

I still enjoy it and try to have the mentality that it’s my 1st time. It was only 15 years ago that I’d never thought we’d get there.
I don’t get to many away as I used to so I love these trips to Wembley
It’s great! I still love it! It will be the 30th (if you count the league games against spurs) time we’ve been there since 2011!

Like you said, I was only 10 when we played against gillingham and I missed that, and I didn’t think we would get there in my lifetime before 2011!
30 times in 14 years!

New Wembley

What I like about going to Wembley.

The trip down.
Seeing City play there.
Seeing City win there.

What I hate about Wembley

Semi finals being held there
The red seats
The trip home, if we lose.
The area
The prices
The shit overpriced beer.
The shouting wanker on the PA.
The opposition, with a few exceptions. (Sunderland, Watford, Brighton)

I'll be going though.
all of this but….It’s City in an fa cup semi final. Thats all you need to know, it’s not being played in Saudi or the US yet so I’ll be going. You don’t get to 50 having lived in Manchester all your life & been going to Maine rd from 4 year old to start making excuses about Wembley is shit, the kick off times are shit, the trains are shit. It’s our club and if the die hards let semi finals turn into charity shield type crowds we really are fucked.
