PL charge City for alleged breaches of financial rules

We got all our tricks wrong.

The club credited the profit to the "disposal of player registrations" worth £152.5m and the "repositioning" of their highly successful women's team.
Chelsea announced a restructuring and a long-term strategic plan for the women's team in May 2024 which saw them sold to become a standalone business from the men's side while remaining a part of the club owners' wider portfolio.
Chelsea may have made an even greater gain with the sale of the women's team to BlueCo, with that 2024 transaction worth either part or all of the £198.7m "profit on disposal of subsidiaries" mentioned in the club accounts.

Without that, Chelsea may have made a significant loss.

But it’s admitted so we don’t need extra info they must have stuff
Are you implying that the PL will just punish Chelsea on the basis of their admitted cheating, without the necessity to forensically examine their accounts in order to determine whether or not there are any unconfessed crimes that are being hidden?

If so, very good point.

9900 looks a long way off at this rate, never mind 10K.

In the spirit of the thread, I’ll mention here that I’ve moved Haaland out and brought Mahmoush in ahead of the midweek round. I think there’s zero chance of him making it and I’m looking forward to seeing Omar fill his boots against Vardy’s mob. Also means I’ve got a bit of spare dough in the bank for eventualities.

I feel I need to contribute, if only to get to 10,000 posts before the verdict is announced. Probably many more before, but I did my bit

We are the media villains while Chelsea is the actual villain. They'll never get punished because their owner is brown

Based on the fact that our ownership group involves several individuals/ entities withe the bulk of the shares 60+% owned by Clearlake Capital and are still majority owned by chap born in Iran and another born in Puerto Rico I don’t think it’s quite as easy as you are suggesting

The EPL were stupid to start this witch hunt in the first place, whatever the outcome it will damage the EPL on a global scale. Juventus were punished severely a few years ago, but they are still a force in European football. These political moans about clubs not following rules conjured up without proper checks and balances will ultimately lead to the demise of football as we know it.

Amazing isn't it.

The Premier League is always striking deals to maintain a clean image and protect its brand. That’s why their approach toward Manchester City is so unusually aggressive—it's completely out of character or off script for them.

I find it amazing that none of the media want to pick up on this, I mean that's an amazing news story.... Why have the PL done it? Who ordered it? There's a lot of delving that can be done there and we all know how eager City would be to provide the right stories.

Perhaps, in the end, that's the way we will totally exonerated, not through a big revelation, but through a slow, steady release of facts over time.

That's if we are innocent though obviously

I believe that the PL board proposed that inter company transactions of this nature be forbidden when it came to PSR calculations but the clubs failed to vote in the numbers for the proposal to be agreed. !

Given the amount of 'client journalism' when it comes to those leaking and embellishing stories regarding our alleged financial improprieties, it's hard to believe the media aren't at least in part complicit with those in authority seeking to bring about our demise.
