PL charge City for alleged breaches of financial rules

In fairness I think ‘irrefutable’ was always an exaggeration - not that I don’t think we’re going to ultimately win the case, but the word irrefutable implies that the evidence is so clear that there is no way anyone could possibly debate it. If that was true we’d never have reached this point.
the pl tried to dispute dates with leicester, they tried to dispute the actual calendar, you are massively underestimating the stupidity of the pl.

The one thing I suspect both parties agree on, is they'd like the verdict sooner rather than later. The IC won't care about timings or how convenient it is for City or the league, and I think for City and the league, having the verdict is better than the uncertainty around not having it.
Surely the IC give their verdict to both parties then its up to said parties how and when it becomes public? Hence suggesting that the verdict will become public knowledge after the season finishes?

if and it is an if we get a points deduction will it be for this season or next season….?
Certain demotion will obviously have an effect on our performance so the later it gets in this season any points deduction calibrated to relegate us will have an decreasing impact on teams trying to avoid it or indeed those fighting it out for European qualification.

would not be a surprise if it was deemed a TKO, and an immediate appeal from the losing side, cue another 1000 posts. Whoopdedo...

I assume so, but the ‘winning’ party will want a statement released immediately,
I imagine

I don't think in this day & age it would be possible for either party to keep the verdict under wraps for long, once known. Loose lips and all that.

If the verdict goes in the PL's favour (which we obviously hope won't be in the case) then there will be a queue of gobshites desperate to shout about it, so it would leak into one of the usual journos in no time.

A verdict in City's favour would I hope be treated with a little more professionalism by the club, but we'd no doubt see the start of targeted leaks from the other side about City "getting off", "technicalities" and other such nonsense.

Not a cat in hells chance (if found guilty) that we would have points deducted for the current season.
The day in this season on which City are going informed they will be kicked out of the PL - by whatever mechanism - will arguably adversely affect their onfield PL performance from that point. Cue the lawsuits from other clubs who claim this has harmed their own league position.

Agree with your last paragraph about professionalism, just maybe we have an understanding with the PL, that us knowing the verdict is in our favour , that we make the announcement after the seasons end. At the end of the day, we will still be under the PL's stewardship moving forward, I don't see the clubs hierarchy , feel that they have the need to go all guns blazing with an immediate announcement, its not the way this club does things, from a fans point of view then yeah-go for the fucking jugular !

This is a point worthy of repetition - the PL will still be controlled by the redshirt cartel and their quislings upon whom we have almost certainly inflicted a humiliating and very costly defeat. Need to keep them as sweet as we can.

Pannick in the High Court at the moment arguing against VAT on School Fees. So he's a bit busy at the moment and listening to Stefan yesterday he didn't believe anything would progress until he's involved in it again. His argument was that there are no leaks from Club or PL because the verdict hasn't been handed down yet. They also need to tell Wyness and Keys first before the press release

Apparently it's about this lady:

"She is married to Yanis Varoufakis, former Greek finance minister and economist. Her mother is Eleni Potaga-Stratou, a Greek modern artist, and her father is Phaidron Stratos from the Stratos family, who founded the Peiraiki-Patraiki textile industry in Patras, Peloponnese, at one time Greece’s largest textile industry.[8]

It has been speculated that she was the subject of English rock band Pulp's 1995 hit "Common People"."
A wonderful song IMO even for a FOC like me at 74. ;)

There really isn't any point reading the most ridiculous speculation (ie. 99% of the stuff on F365), as they'll write any old shit and just make sure they include "IF" in one of the first sentences.

It's not news, it's nothing but fiction.
It's still what the media is saying about us, plus i can decide for myself what is fiction and what isn't. I don't need protecting from it ... Plus like most on here we know how clicks work and I doubt that a few clicks from any bluemooners makes any difference given the main target audience
