Roll call for 9 minute protest

Owners taking their profits and run...fucking hell, have you no gratitude as to what our owners have given us ? You sound like a right spoilt ****
Maybe I just care about the next generation of fans who will have been priced out and lost the habit of attending games due to.a lack of season tickets etc. Pretty poor to just latch on to one specific point to call me spoilt.

Don't forget to send the owners your gratitude for defending the fans against UEFA for the shitshow in Istanbul, not signing up to the superleague , or keeping ticket price increases to match inflation.

Oh, wait a minute.....

They wont listen mate, you're banging your head against a wall. Just be grateful is the message.

Do you not think we should have started with the cost of kids tickets first ? Instead we have everyone demonstrating over viagoo, lack of communication with the club, disabled supporters, the car park in Instanbul, half & half scarves, tourists etc etc its just blurred and makes us look like a set of entitled ***** like those in Trafford...most people won't have a fucking clue what they are demonstrating for and would need 10 minutes for someone to explain...
It should have been ONE thing, not a host of other's as well.
I think it's pointless to pontificate about when/why/how we start protesting. There are countless reasons as to why fans are unhappy, including (but not limited to):

- disabled fans being unfairly charged to park at City
- City playing a home game in a white shirt against Inter Milan
- £71 being the cheapest ticket for a boxing day game against Everton
- Barcelona fans getting tickets to Anfield
- Real Mallorca fans getting tickets to Ipswich
- Real Madrid fans in the home end
- Liverpool fans in the home end
- Plymouth fans in the home end
- City announcing a ninth reseller (tout) for tickets
- City delaying and refusing to speak to our fan advisory board about tickets
- City pushing flexi-gold rather than actual seasoncards

They're just the issues I can think of off the top of my head.

The best time to start protesting is now.

This is from the post-embargo press conference. It highlights what I was concerned about.
@City_Xtra

Pep Guardiola on whether there is a growing divide between #ManCity's local and 'tourist' fans: “I want to be honest; I don't know, I didn't speak with the club about this. I don't know, I cannot talk... Maybe I will know it in the next days, next hours, but I don't know now..."

Yes he does know, as he aludes to the away fans being special all the time, and the home support being "our people", no praise on those

Pep always plays Devil's Advocate between the club and the fans.

But if it is true, Pep shouldn't waste his time asking the directors because all he will get is spin, half truths and down right lies.

Maybe Pep should speak to the fans directly. He'd get the truth about what has been happening.

Judging by some of the comments on here we could do with having a protest against some of the fans we actually have who don't appear to give a fuck about their fellow fans.

We should be grateful?
Let's build a visitors section?
There are different kinds of City fans you can be a City fan for a day?
Someone carrying an iphone who bought their ticket with a group of 30 or more people to cheer on the opposing team is not a tourist.

Game's fucked :)

You and that bloody T word. You'll be joining the KKK next!

Whilst I do concur it all seems a bit rushed I think with the City Matters meeting tomorrow it sort of forced people's hand. Must make the City Matters reps feel really valued when they've just ignored them for weeks on end to focus on finalising the Viagogo deal instead. Just that last sentence alone should annoy most supporters and realise action is now required.

Well said mate. There's some that are against it contradicting themselves too. 'No point in protesting against Viagogo as the deal is already signed' and now there's 'Why are we protesting if we're not even sure prices are being increased?'. Which one is it?!!! Surely it's better to be proactive instead of reactive?!!!

If they wanted to freeze prices they could have already done so. It'd have appeared more genuine too and not a necessity even if we were relegated with the 115 charges. With 9 rises in 10 years or whatever it is, historically it is very clear what they want to do.
Yep after reading that I have decided I will honour that too tonight . . .

I originally wasn't going to bother not because I don't care but because I genuinely honestly don't didn't think the club and it's higher up employees give a fuck.

And by not giving a fuck I really mean that, it's shocking just how little they think of us in reality.

So I'm on board.

You can't help yourself can you...

I think this is good that they're highlighting it. Stop worrying about what internet trolls say about our attendances. We've historically had brilliant, consistent attendances. Anyone who actually bothers going to football games knows that.

The reason we have 3k unsold seats is because of the club's shortsighted ticket policy over the past 2 or 3 seasons. It's exactly why this protest is needed. We have more than enough fans to fill the Etihad stadium comfortably - there is a reason they're not going tonight. Enough is enough.
Club have made a a right mess of their ticketing policy and hope tonight highlights just why were making a stand

No he will get the fans point of view.
He will ask the Directors and get their point of view and then he will ask the fans and get their point of view.
As the saying goes, the truth lies in the middle somewhere. :-)

No one is ever 100% correct because then there would be nothing to strive for was one of my old Gran's favourite sayings.

Dont forget....

- selling Real Madrid home semi-final tickets to any JCL from the internet who paid a £35 membership fee, no sales criteria applied, no points or attendance record needed, thus deliberately excluding thousands of loyal fans who had followed the team when it wasn't glamorous to do so.

Again it just sounds like a rant against the club mate.

Maybe Pep can ask his mate why there are over 2000 empty seats tonight?

A little confused with your point, what stopped thousands of loyal fans from buying tickets?

NO its not, it's people moaning about everything, that's why people would be more onboard if it was ONE single topic, rather people jumping on suggesting a plethora of grievances.

There's a LOT to moan about, and protesting isn't moaning it's protesting. The reason why the protest covers many topics is because there are a lot of topics to cover.

Some are just making an excuse to visibly not support it because it upsets them for whatever reason. But even if you don't support the gist of it you should be supporting blues who care about it.

There is some sly "I'm alright" shit going on here and you know it.
