PL charge City for alleged breaches of financial rules

It's still what the media is saying about us, plus i can decide for myself what is fiction and what isn't. I don't need protecting from it ... Plus like most on here we know how clicks work and I doubt that a few clicks from any bluemooners makes any difference given the main target audience

Yep, totally up to you mate. Just saying it's a waste of time if it's actual news you're after.

Surely the IC give their verdict to both parties then its up to said parties how and when it becomes public? Hence suggesting that the verdict will become public knowledge after the season finishes?
In the meantime, a huge temptation to leak. It won’t happen. When the verdict drops it will be published asap.

Not a cat in hells chance (if found guilty) that we would have points deducted for the current season.
What about a scenario where they dock say 25 points per season over 4 or 5 years. Which probably woulnt relegate us but would make winning the league almost impossible and qualification for the CL very difficult.

Nah dippers won the CL after finishing 25 points behind us and we're classed as the best team Europe !

complete and utter waste of time. but assuming the 3 guys on the IC are the only ones in the know, i wonder how they pass the time in the few days before they release the judgement to whoever they release it to. Surely they're not doing other stuff or the result would be out?

1 Rereading it?
2 Placing bets?
3 Jizzing over a laminated copy?

I did have a quick look and it was in a letter from some KFA who reckoned we got the ban from European competition overturned at CAS "on a technicality".

Well I suppose that UEFA not actually having presented any cogent evidence to suggest we were guilty of what they'd accused us of classes as a "technicality".

The club's media team should have been much more aggressive about getting the message out there, in the face of the mendacity around 'technicalities', 'loopholes' and things like Conn's shameful twisting of the panel selection issue. But as usual it's failed in its duty to represent the club properly and left us to do that.
As an aside, do you think if we had have been more vociferous in voicing the outcome from CAS (lack of cogent evidence relating to certain charges etc.), the PL would itself have been far less gungho in its approach to pursuing this case?

Following bluemoon to see if there is any news ;)

Would the PL "leak it" if they have been defeated? I highly doubt that. On the other hand, if City have won, and we have an agreement to keep our powder dry , then its plausible that it could well be that we wont find out anything until the seasons end.
Both parties know which way the wind is blowing , the fact that sky and its presenters have been warned to be very careful what they say, is perhaps the only real comment to be made publicly.

Why would we have an agreement to 'keep our powder dry'? What would be the benefit?

Whether we like it or not, we are still under the stewardship of the PL next season. Our owners do things in a calm professional manner. We win this and nothing more really needs to be said by the club bar the usual statement the club release.

Let's posit that we have been found guilty? Maybe the PL are trying to gaslight other clubs not to take us to court and sue everything that moves which might/could bring the whole industry down.

Let's say we have been found not guilty and the PL are still trying to calm down the red cartel who want to then go home and take their ball with them?

It's all a bit complicated :)

Khaldoon has already told us he will have his say when this is done. I don't see how delaying the release if we've won benefits us in the slightest

The PL charges include things not included by UEFA, like Fordham and Mancini's Al Jazira contract, plus things like the time-barred Etisalat contract and the question of related parties so the best we might have done was to temper the PL's ambitions over, say Etihad (assuming they've included that contract in the charges).

Overall, I'd say no probably.

City should already have statements written with how they expect the result, maybe with a couple of minor changes, but there should be a strategy as to how they handle the fall out. I hope it’s front foot & aggressive with the bullshitters.

I hope it involves inviting deloony and Carragher to an embassy somewhere.
