Roll call for 9 minute protest

So it doesn't impact on you what is happening at the club so you are ok, that's fine. Do what works for you. Don't complain at others who have had enough.

That will have an impact and I hope everyone boycotts the food and drink too. Absolutely pointless if we don't and it will be annoying fans stood in the concourses, proving a point but downing pints and putting pounds in pockets. I'm not saying you personally have been hostile, a few people who aren't partaking (which is fine) seem to preach to others what we should/shouldn't do.

Tonight is a visual protest for the suits to see how many of us are pissed off. They can see it from the seats being empty, I agree about not buying food and drink and as said I hope many follow that as well. Something has to be done and if this is the start of a bigger story in venting our feelings then so be it.

I ain't complaining, I see the point,as it doesn't affect me personally no, you are right, I'm contemplating standing alongside though to support for the people who it does effect, but then again if everyone has an attitude like you have there is no point me bothering.

So you’re broadly supportive which is great.

But you don’t think it will work… because people like you who broadly supportive won’t join.

And you won’t join in because it’s not the exact protest that you would have organised.

You’ve also got the choice between pre match, 9 minutes or both. And you won’t join any of them.
Its nothing to do with it not being my exact protest mate ..as I said I just don't think it will change anything..I hope I'm wrong btw.
The way to hit back at the club is financially..if you have a ticket and can't go..don't sell back to the club so they can make a big mark up on it..give it to a friend or sell it on here.
As for the protest at the statues by the time I get to the ground it will be about 30 minutes to kick off and as I'm in level 3 it takes me a while to get up to me level..old age isn't much fun.
Good luck with the protest and I do mean that..not taking the piss in any way..

Don't have an attitude, sick of being preached to by people who it doesn't affect though. If you join in then you are doing the right thing and looking out for fellow blues who are currently suffering.

block 210 . Happy to do it-even if I miss a goal or 2 . Something needs to be done . The ticket situation is shocking

When you visit the stadium for a one time only in the home end and scream when the opposition score you're a tourist.

When you visit the stadium one time only because you are a City fan and scream when City score you're not a tourist you're a City fan.

It's not fucking hard.
Wrong answer you obviously are'nt going to understand the differences in a 50000 stadium aren't just A or B

WHY ?
It doesn't affect me or anyone else who is a City fan, aslong as one doesn't pay a stupid price for a clothes item that looks silly on most people.
If someone can afford to waste money on a replica shirt please don't cry Wolf over the price of a ticket.
I have never bought one, good luck to those who can afford them, I can't.

You can get all 4 for less than a price for 1 in the club shop from DH Gate, I am living proof of that this season yet again, so that's a bullshit excuse being used against you there mate.

You carry on supporting tourists supporting our opponents and I will carry on supporting City fans who are priced out and or are ignored when the big game tickets come around.

When someone stands up and screams for the scouse or spuds goal that's the difference, but you know that don't you?

Was never ever checked in all the years of family stand lvl2 or since we moved over to 316
This is really interesting. I think those of us in South Stand Level 1 have been thinking that everybody else is also being subjected to these ticket checks.

At kick-off and half-time we get welcomed by two rows of stewards who are more than happy to manhandle supporters, despite having already shown our tickets (obviously) at the turnstile.

It makes you feel victimised, and now knowing that noone else is experiencing in the ground - it makes me feel we're being targeted? I hope that gives a glimpse into the views of those of us in SSL1 to other Blues across the stadium, and helps realise why we're particularly angry over the last two seasons.

City now have FOUR private security agencies that they use on top the club-employed security staff. This is not helpful to creating a positive atmosphere in the ground that self-polices itself. My mate was grabbed by the neck by Matt Durcan, one of the heads of security, vs Arsenal last season. The club had the footage, which my mate went to review, and they apologised to him, saying Durcan would not do security in South Stand any more. He's now back in South Stand this season. They should've sacked him as it was clear unprovoked criminal assault.

Being treated like away fans in our own ground. It's not on.

That's one of the reasons I'm personally joining the protest tonight. It is multifaceted and that's not any fans fault, it is club staff's.

CTID.

See you at 7 then, make sure you have a carnation on then I know it's you to say hello ;)

I will help with moving along the half n half scarf wearing cunts

I haven't seems reading a bit tricky too.

We have all witnessed nothing but pure joy these last 10 -12 years, and with that comes the scenarios of what the club decides to do, good or bad, but let's all be honest here for a sec, if the majority are happy to have seen, been, and witnessed what has happened on the pitch, also known on here as "enjoying the ride", then it's done.

Nothing left to see what City achieve in years to come will surpass what we have seen, could equal it of course but not beaten.

There has been no claims to protest or kick off when things have been as good as they have been, but the season we have a downturn things start happening like this, call it coincidence I'm not sure, but my perspective is simple, as I'm getting too old now to care about the politics of a football club, or should I say business.

I've only been interested in what happens on the pitch, yes I have a season ticket, yes I've been going for years, yes I can afford it (DD monthly by the way).

If most are thinking to themselves, but yea wait till we go shit again, the club will suffer then, then so be it I say, not a lot we can do, but as long as we are performing and winning whatever we can that makes me quite content.

I'm not a Mancunian myself, but worked in the area most of my life, and I get what it means for people who cannot attend due to pricing, I really do, but as I said earlier this is a business now, as it is for them all.

We all would go to Lidl for a shop before Sainsburys, that's the way we are and been brought up, but for quality I'm afraid it comes at a cost.
We would all go to Lidl for a shop before Sainsburys, but we're not going to go and watch Rochdale instead of Manchester City are we? Apologies for the tone but that is a terrible analogy.

Have i said that? Educate me ? Please, grow up, my beef is the price of kids tickets, thats what we should demonstrate about first, other legitimate gripes, yes, but fuck me how many have people got!
It's never ending!
So what you're saying is that we should protest against something that is your biggest beef first and foremost? As it happens, the prices of kids tickets is one of the many issues we have. Fans should be supporting their fellow fans on every legitimate gripe, regardless of whether it directly affects them or not. Take the disabled parking fiasco at the start of the season - many fans who got involved weren't actually affected personally but it didn't stop them supporting the cause.

Whichever side of the fence or even on it you sit on it I think it is relevant, suggesting that 69 out of 70 match goers are staying out until 7.54 is great but it (un)intentionally gives the impression that as a random sample almost everyone will be joining in.
I made up my own mind and I’m on the side of the fence that says that the Supporters are not happy with the way the Management has been handling , lots of matters highlighted in this thread, by others, with greater and better understanding than me.

And now is the time to protest. FULL STOP.

:0)

Agreed, but without knowing how old you are mate, we were once as shit as Rochdale (well nearly) and it could happen again one day, terrible analogy or not, it's the truth............but we were still there

My point wasn't about how shit Rochdale are, it's about they're not our club who we grew up falling in love with. We don't have that same emotional attachment to a shop.
